I make a rich Demerara syrup (2:1) and use it in place of simple syrup in whisky or rum drinks. The added molasses gives a nice flavor to a drink that can take it. I keep my simple for milder gin and vodka drinks. This pack is an excellent value and a bag lasts a long time.

Okay I've been re ordering this sugar because it tastes great and it's usually about $4 and change. Now it's jumped to $12 because of Amazon deals ? This makes me sad, I'm going to have to look for another brand.

This was my go to demerara when it was around $4 a month or so ago, but at $13 it's not any better than any other brand.
