JKR Tools VDE Electrician Screwdrivers Set 7 pcs with Safety Tester

But these as a gift, so don't really know much about durability etc .., good price and after reading reviews, well they were well received.

My Grandson is starting out as an electrician, so I bought these for him as a starter set, I thought that these would be useful as advertised as VDE rated, however I was disappointed that a terminal mains tester was included in the kit, as these are no longer used as much on site nowadays partly due to the dangers associated with them.I also bought him a DMM to measure voltage and current.I am hoping he finds them useful in his chosen career.

I bought these for my daughter who loves screwdrivers. Always has since being a kid. Don't know why. Any she has just moved into her first house and I got these for her as an essentials pack (she's pretty adept at DIY). Screwdriver are top qualoty but the only thing stopping the 5th star is the case . It sounds petty but ther is no plastic glass in the windows so unlike other screwdriver sets, you can't fill it full of screws, rawlplugs etc without it all falling out. If this doesn't put you off, the tools themselves are great. Buy them for your kids (or yourselves - you can never have enough screwdrivers in a house)

Fab set, can tell will last a long time

The kit consists of four slot and three Philips screwdrivers, all with insulated handles and shafts for those which enjoy the excitement of working on live circuits. These seem to cover all that is need to work on the plugs, sockets, switches etc that I've met up to now. There's also what they call a voltage tester (a sort of screwdriver) but is more properly called a live circuit tester: you touch the circuit with the blade, put your finger on the other end, your body completes the circuit and, if live, the handle lights up; Ohm's law keep you from electrocution!The kit come in a tough case with easily opened clips. There is no carrying handle and the windows have no transparent plastic 'panes' so you can't carry screws etc in the case. These are minor points however.

3* only because the case is rubbish. When paying £20+ you expect a decent storage box, it falls down on this so…When I ordered be aware there is a freebee offer on an additional set, you have to search for it though so dont miss out, this freebee set of screwdrivers is ok but again the storage case for this is even more rubbish than the other one so thats why its a freebee, they can't sell 'em obviously getting rid of.
