great cheese being on my own I froze one until I needed it & tasted just as good - my 4 year old Grandson said it was yummy when he spent the day with me & I did him crackers & cheese & asked for more highly recommend !

Not a strong cheese.

I was expecting a strong mature cheddar taste given the price. Sadly, it's very similar to the average supermarket 'Mature Cheddar'. Not unpleasant by any means but disappointingly mild for my taste.

In my Day….

I tell anyone that will listen cheese sold in Supermarkets (particularly what is described as “mature cheddar”) is a massive con. I realise this cheese isn’t cheap, but that’s because it’s the real deal! It is therefore paying the extra for! I’m old enough to remember having mature cheddar cheese that tasted EXACTLY like this as a kid. You have to hunt it down now. Just glad I’ve found some. Don’t be conned, buy the real stuff, not the mass produced rubbish.
