It took a bit to get the hand of it. I love it. Not for heavy material. I used it on light weight curtains, and table cloths. I can't sew. This is a good quick fix.

I was so excited to start using this. There were no instructions in the box. I downloaded the instructions from the Avery website. NOWHERE does it say that the needle in the tool is PERMANENT and you have to grab the other needle in the envelope that then needs to be inserted onto the permanent needle. Since I didn't see that, I attempted to 'replace' the permanent needle with the needle inside the envelope. Unfortunately bending the permanent needle in such a way that when I finally do get it to thread correctly, I have to remove the outer needle, pop the permanent one back in before threading it again to use. There is no 'click' sound when threading the ties. Unfortunately I can't return it so while it kinda works, getting it to work is a hassle. Good thing I'm not using it a lot. Otherwise I'd throw it away.

I am so glad that I bought this. I use this all the time. Instead of getting out a needle and thread this gun will hold 2 pieces of fabric together without making a hole. It is so easy to take out after you are wanting to separate the pieces of fabric.

I have used it to quickly hem pants that were too long. The stitches stayed intact even through various times in the washer and dryer. I recently used it to stitch a blouse that was popping open a little too much in the bust area and I used it to keep the collar of another shirt open. It is easy to use and very convenient.

The Avery micro stitching device is genius when a quick tack is needed to solve a clothes situation for myself or one of my three girls. Whether it’s tacking tops or dresses that are too low, straps that need to stay in place or hidden, rolled sleeves or collars that look more flattering laying softly across the collar bone, this product only takes seconds to complete the task, is easy to use and works brilliantly! Fumbling with a safety pin in these situations is now a thing of the past!

I loved this thing and used it all the time, but recently it broke. The needle appears to have broken in the mechanism and the gun keeps sticking. Very sad it only lasted 1.5 years

It worked great for a few months and I loved it. Then I had to replace the first one I bought because the needle went flying out of it and landed in my sink! Then the next one quit working after a few months. Disappointed because it’s a great tool when it works well. Hopefully there have been improvements in this.

Works fine
