Baby Loves Winter!: A Karen Katz Lift-the-Flap Book (Karen Katz Lift-the-Flap Books) Board book – Lift the flap, October 22, 2013

I have started a collection of books by this author as my little one just gets endless amounts of enjoyment from them. This one I saved to purchase during winter and gave it to her for Christmas. Which just so happened to be the first white Christmas I’ve seen in years! Over all I am incredibly pleased with the quality and cost and it arrived very quickly. It’s obviously a very easy read and has just enough to keep her attention but not so much she gets overwhelmed. I’ve been reading these books to her since she was 3-4 months old (she is 15 months old now) and it has been such a joy to watch her learn how to lift and move the flaps herself and discover what lies beneath. I look forward to being able to reread these with any future children. The only downside I can think of is sometime she gets a little too exited moving a flap and has ripped quite a few, however they can usually be taped back together or the price is so good I have no problem replacing it altogether if need be. The joy of reading to her is worth it.

We love these books! My daughter sometimes rips off the flaps but I tape them back on and it’s fine.

I’ve given my almost two year old granddaughter many of Karen Katz’ lift the flap book and she loves all of them. I’ve been giving her each of the “seasons” on the solstice/equinox! She loved this winter one and I just ordered “Baby Loves Spring” to complete her seasons!

Hard cover, cute little book for young children, bought this for my granddaughter, as I got her a little sled for Christmas.

How many times have I read this to my granddaughter?!? She loves Karen Katz’s books and this one doesn’t disappoint. I like that I can read it to her several times and then she takes the book and reads it to her dolls. The book is well made and the interactive flaps are strong enough to stand up repeated toddler use!

My 6 month old LOVES anything by Karen Katz. His face lights up and he's entranced. I prop these up while he's lying in his crib and he loves to stare at the bright illustrations. We calmed him down repeatedly on a 3 day road trip just by pulling out Where's Baby's Puppy and Where's Baby's Bellybutton. We got him Baby Loves Winter and Baby's Christmas for Christmas presents. As avid readers ourselves, my husband and I are thrilled with our son's apparent interest in books and definitely want to encourage a love of reading.

I love these Karen Katz books! The first book I bought our daughter was a few of these and have been purchasing them for the last 5 years. People thing I’m crazy that I almost every book of her including 10 tiny babies which isn’t anything like these ones. Great books for little ones.

Another great book by Katz, these books are an absolute favorite of my 3 year old, even my 10 month old likes them (be careful of destructive babies, the flaps are easily pulled off). We read them to her now but she has recently started to "read" them herself just based on what the illustration depicts, when she is reading they are simple enough to be a great beginners book that she can read to her sister.
