Arrived well packed. But it had two small dents on the outside. Didn't return because it's difficult to return, because of local post office. Did test the unit and it worked well.

We already have larger soup kettles but we wanted a smaller on to cater for smaller numbers attending courses at the Urban Wellness hub in Aberdeen.This perfect for 12-14 soup medium sized portions. But we have used for as little as 6 large portions equally well.The temperature control works accurately and I have checked the temperature manually and everything is okay.It takes around an hour to get soup heated directly from the fridge, but normally we set the kettle on 2 or 3 for a couple of hours to get it warmed up then a blast at full temperature for 30 minutes before lunch time.We have used it for chilli, curry and rice pots as well, and keeps food at a perfect temperature without overcooking.The red colour makes a change from the typical silver, chrome or black pots - we love it.The hole opening for the soup ladle should be a wee bit bigger, so for example it won't accept spme of the soft touch silicon handles ladles.The kettle is very easily cleaned on the outside and inside and with the lid and the collar fitting comfortably inside the kettle when not in use.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a smaller sized kettle.

Perfect for Christmas, parties

I use this to melt wax for my candle making and it’s amazing!I fill the drum with soy wax flakes and turn it up to 10 (max) for about 10 minutes. Once the water inside is very hot and it begins to melt down I turn it to 6/7 to slowly melt it all without boiling it… and I find that once it’s all liquid I can keep it at number 3/4 and that keeps my wax and perfect pouring temp.

I know it was my fault, I had to send it back. Basically we wanted an electric saucepan but this wasn't it. It only keeps things warm. You can't heat from cold and you certainly cant cook with it. My fault entirely I didn't know what "wet heat" meant. I think a better description of what it does would be helpful. Maybe there is but I didn't see it so it isn't obvious.

Does the job well but black ring and stainless steel lid are very lightweight and rather cheap quality. Apart from that it works well
