The normal Americano disc will just about fill half a normal size mug and the Grande will fill about 3/4 of the mug. My advice to you would be to wait until the coffe has dispensed and then press and hold the button on the tassimo. This will top up the water through the pod and allow you to get the mug full to the desired level. Not ideal I'm afraid but it's better than topping it up with plain water from the kettle.
