I was going to trash my ladder until I tried this for a fix installed really quickly and works great.

Easy to install but we used it only once and it already broke. Not worth buying.

I had an aluminum ladder that came from my father that was probably 50 years old and had no manufacture name on it. Even though this was made for a Werner ladder, all I had to do was drill some new holes to install it. Works very well. With the instructions that came with it for replacing an existing ladder lock set, I am not sure it would be extremely easy for just anyone to install but with the right tools on hand I found it pretty simple.
