it is great for the price. my first one made a dark yellow orange patch in the projection from the LCD getting too warm in that spot as a result of cooling the right side. during inspection, I noticed a connection not used for an extra fan. so I bought another one of these and installed one of the squirrel cage fans from the failed unit right on the intake slots aimed towards the speakers and intakw for the air cooling of the LCD. the airflow is much better now and the unit keep overall cooler. the LCD performance is much better as well.

I purchased this projector to try out as an outdoor movie night option. I wanted to try to maximize the cost/value, but I was aware this may lead to some compromises.Pros:Picture quality is good/brightDecent connections - micro SD option is nice when Wifi not availableComes with a carrying caseCons:Fan could be annoying in smaller settingsPower brick gets warmI purchased this due to the native 1080p resolution and that it came with a carrying case. Most cheaper projectors do not come with the case and that adds $15-$20.It came well packaged. Instructions were pretty straightforward. Brightness is good and slightly better for this price point. It is not going to show up well in a brightly lit room but with low lighting it shows up clearly. In a dark room it is excellent. Picture quality is good. The foot stand helps with aim but makes adjusting keystone a bit difficult - better to align it head on in my opinion. Hook ups all worked fine. Sound was as expected (basically like a TV). I used a FireTV stick with HDMI and it worked fine. I could not get the IR function via Fire controller to work but really did not care.As many have mentioned, it does have a fan. It would be nice if it were quieter - reminds me of older desktops. This was not a deal breaker for me. The power brick also gets pretty warm (more than I expected). Time will tell if it wears out.Overall, decent projector for the price. Pretty basic but a decent value.

I like it

I purchased this projector in Nov 2022. It was as working very nicely for a couple of months. However, it then started to develop a brown smudge that just became more and more noticeable. Now, less than 6 months after purchase, the smudge takes up about half the picture and it is getting significantly darker. I suspect that even though it is mounted on a tripod and should be well ventilated, that the projector is probably over-heating.
