Overall easy to install and looks good but the PIR sensor stopped working after an hour

The motion detection on the fourth light we ordered was seeing far too many "ghosts". We contacted the supplier and their response was outstanding! We cannot praise them enough! Let us encourage all other Amazon suppliers to strive to reach this pinnacle of amazing excellent customer service

Use as garden security light. No problems, it works well and the supplied lamp is bright and a good night deterrent .

This looks a good item., but I am still waiting for an electrician to come and fit it for me.

Fitted by a experienced electrician, it works faultlessly. It is both attractive and useful. Money well spent.

This lamp does the minimum it has to but is a bit of a faff to install. Firstly the screws on the top of the lamp are fractionally too long, only a mm or so but it means it did not hold the glass firmly. Fortunately I was exchanging this for an old unit and the rusty one I was throwing away had the right screws so I swapped them over, something you could not do if this was the only unit you had. Secondly, I drilled the mounting holes into the cement rather than the brick, big mistake, because the cement is slightly recessed (as it is on virtually every modern house), the bolts came out of the recess in the back of the unit and so when you screw the covers on at the front they are pushed backwards and just move around as you try to thread the front bolts on. I had to pack the rear of the unit with matchsticks and lever them forward with a screwdriver for the front bolts to make contact with the thread.One other negative on the design is that the screw thread mount is very large / high up in the unit so the bulb is pushed into the cover of the lamp if you are using an energy saving bulb. My previous light was about 8cm taller so all the bulb was visible. This unit shows only about half the bulb so significantly reduces the light output.All in all, the unit is not awful but does have some design flaws but it is fairly cheap and is of an OK quality.

Item was very easy to install and looks good at the front of my house.It has worked faultlessly since I purchased it, however recently I have noticed that the light is on permanently night and day with all control turned off. I have now had to switch it off at the circuit board during the day. I have tried adjustment on the controls but nothing works.I am very disappointed as I have only had this item for a few months.

The lamp looked exactly what I wanted. I’d bought the same one previously but it wouldn’t work from the start because a faulty PIR. After being ignored by the supplier, Amazon arranged a refund. So I bought a second one which was even easier to fit on to the old backing plate. This has worked fine for 6 months but then failed. I assumed it was the PIR again but on checking it out, I found the fuse had blown. So it’s working fine now. Hence, I have corrected this review.
