Alpha Wolf: Darkmore Penitentiary, Book 2

Darkmore Penitentiary 2 was nail biting tension to the end and I absolutely loved it!I honestly don’t know how Caroline and Susanne do it, but they write the most beautiful stories that drag you completely in and have you begging for more and never wanting to leave.Each new book of theirs becomes a firm favourite and DP2 is no exception!DP2 has us back in the prison for the worst of the worst. Rosa is bounding hurdle after hurdle in her escape plans, each time she solves a problem another one arises. Her love life has some complications which had me yelling at my kindle for the guys to just get on board already but there are some seriously hot scenes between them all.The humour in this book is next level so I warn you not to eat while reading! You might just choke as I did and there are a lot of little easter eggs relating to Zodiac Academy and Ruthless Boys which I loved but also have me worried.Of course, DP2 as with all their other books ends on a mighty fine cliff-hanger so just be prepared.Another fantastic read and DP3 can’t come fast enough!!!!

I wasn’t sure how this book would top the first one but it did. I haven’t laughed out loud over a book in such a long time! The plot twists are incredible and have kept me on my toes!

Everytime I read one of these sisters books I go through all the emotions. I laugh out loud, sometimes cry, get so angry I need to talk it through 🤣, or have to take a book time out.Loving this series, Rosalie is a firm favourite for me now. I think am team Ethan and Cain. Can't see what happens next.Thank you Caroline and Susanne, I love to escape in your books.

Another amazing book! Let me tell you.. I devoured it in just a few hours of receiving it.. I couldn't put it down.This book is so well written and the two authors just hook you and reel you in with there writing skills and addictive characters. Some scenes of the book had me crying in laughter and some others where I wanted to launch my kindle at the wall. There was also some scenes that turned me abit green (dont know if i can forgive you two for ruining chocolate ice cream for me). I can not wait for the next book in this series. Caroline and Susanne are two of my favourite authors of all time and I can happily sit and reread there books hundreds of times and never get bored of them. If you like strong FMC, who doest take any sh*t from anyone and 4 amazing drool worthy men (Sin is defintley my fav though) then i highly recommend this series and all the rest from these two aswell.

The twisted sisters are absolute legends, they reel you in make you hurt, make you cry, make you break your sides laughing, chews you up, spit you out and then send healing magic right through you, my kids haven't eaten in months lol ( obviously they have, but only just) bottom line is any books by the sisters are amazing and I can't recommend them enough. Make sure you read them in chronological order to enjoy the Easter eggs along the way. ENJOY

Whew. This book was even better than the 1st and I didn't think that was possible.As usual, the writing style is completely flawless, weaving the story and the world effortlessly.Rosalie softens and little bit more in this book and we see her more vulnerable side. She's her usual warrior self who doesn't take any nonsense though rest assured!Sin gets a much bigger portion in this book to my absolute delight. He is written in such a fantastically funny way that you can't help simultaneously groaning and laughing at his antics! Plus he is all alpha male which leads to some amazing scenes 🔥Ethan and Roary also have some growth in this one, finally starting to realise their feelings, and again some of the scenes...wow.Cain. Oh, Cain. The guy you can't help loving to hate. Karma has a lovely part to play with him, but there are still the feelings of hope that he will be able to redeem himself.This book also has some amazing Easter eggs that will likely devastate you as much as it did me 😂This book is about hope and redemption. In the darkest night there will always be that glimmer shining in the distance.I love this book so much! So sad it's over and cannot wait for the third one. ♥

** Slight Spoilers**This is a fantastic second book in the darkmore penitentiary series. There is just so much within these pages that make it such an incredible read. Rosa is super badass with a slightly vulnerable streak and a wicked sense of humour (that Cinderella and Red Riding Hood snippets were absolute Gold!). Reading her journey is an intense ride of deep emotion, brilliant sass and sexiness. Each one of her men are getting more and more interesting and intense. I loved seeing them grow emotionally and finding out more about them. With horrid bad guys, strange psych ward experiments and a crazy bioweapon this book has it all. Some fantastic writing from these 2 lovely authors! Cannot wait for the third instalment.

This book is peak Twisted Sister epicness. Snarky, fierce and queen vibe FMC - broody, broken, hot af and low key kinda crazy MMC(s) - hilarious moments, suspenseful last 10%, and the BEST smut. Sigh. I just love them so much. 🥹This books picks up a little bit after book 1. Cain, who is like Lance Orion tbh but way meaner, crazier, and has some serious issues (he’s my fav- can you tell?) locked her away in isolation after the scenes of book 1. Now, if you know Rosalie - you know that this almost broke her. Her upbringing is a sad one, but she uses her past not as a crunch but as a stepping stone to be bigger, better, and I LOVE HER.This book turns up the spice, cranks up the drama, we learn a bit more about DP - and how not everything is as it seems down in the underground prison.The ending was intense and tbh I still don’t know why I haven’t picked up book 3 to read yet. Probably bc I’m scared. 🤣 but IM STILL HYPE to read it!! Don’t sleep on this series, idc if you’re scared of book 3’s cliffhanger. Just dive in!! And welcome to the Mason Cain fan club. 🤌🏽

I love everything written by these authors. Their skills are what most authors aspire to achieve. I feel like I am right there in the story... like I can see what the characters see, feel what they feel. The tales are so gripping that when I've read the last book in a series that I go back and read them all again! I love, love, love all their books.

Não consigo sair desse universo!! Sério, se o próximo livro não tiver um final épico eu vou ficar desolada. Foi bom demais entender mais sobre os personagens e finalmente ver eles? cedendo aos charmes da Rosalie. Tem tanta coisa para ser respondida nesse último livro que estou com medo. Quero vingança, respostas, juras de amor e muitas cena rot pra compensar essa jornada de dificuldades. Que venha mais <3

The story continues from where book one ended. Rosalie finds herself in isolation after Cain realises that she has secrets of her own. This book is so much more fast paced after Rosalie gets out of isolation and their work towards breaking out of Darkmore gets more concrete.Their test run and final run of their mission got my heart racing! I mean, this is why Rosalie's in prison in the first place and it took her months to finally figure out her plans to escape!! And it was weird because although I wanted everyone to find their freedom, I suddenly became Team Cain! Yes, his stick-up-his-butt routine transformed once he came to terms with his feelings for Rosalie AND let me just tell you that the wreckage he caused to rescue her which resulted in a steamy-a** scene, phew..YES MASON CAIN!!! I didn't want Rosalie leaving Cain in the dark after everything! But, with that ending damnnn..my heart was racing once their plan went into action! Sin being the idiot that he is did what he was specifically asked NOT to do! This guy is such a troublemaker!!🤦🏾‍♀️These books are huge but so worth it just for the pacing and the suspense! Extremely well written with great action and on-point humor! Scenes with Plunger and Sin will forever leave me laughing out loud! 😂😂 One scene that especially did it for me was when Rosalie is asked to share something from her life during group therapy. She starts with this elaborate story that makes everyone around her emotional. Cain, who's observing her session starts feeling vengeance towards the characters in her story, but soon realises that she's narrating the story of Cinderella! Man..I don't think a book has made me laugh this much in the last few months! 😂😂😂

Oh how I wish that I had discovered all these books after all the series were completed, waiting on 3 different interconnected storylines is so hard when they all end on intense cliffhangers. And if the cliffhangers aren't bad enough, little clues for the other series are dropped indicating that awful things are coming. That's so mean, I'm already on tenterhooks about what is coming up in Zodiac Academy and it just got worse.As usual, couldn't put this book down. It was action packed, laugh out loud. And Sin ... well ... I'm not sure what the book would be without him.I really want to say how impressed I am with the authors. The amount of planning and world building it takes to incorporate 3 storylines in 1 universe, over 3 time periods its just unbelievable. And you kind of need to read all of the storylines to get background. Broken Fae: Ruthless Boys off the Zodiac really explained and led into Darkmore Penitentiary 2 Captive Fae so well.
