In the last few weeks I was reading up this book "Cybersecurity Threats, Malware Trends, and Strategies" authored by Tim Rains and published by Packt.This book serves as an ideal guide for risk mitigation strategies for modern cyber threats facing an organization.The author takes the users on a progressive journey by introducing the concepts of initial compromise and importance of cyber security fundamentals. The criticality of cyber threat intelligence is emphasized and a short primer on vulnerability management along with recent trends is provided.The evolution of malware and Internet-based threats are discussed in detail to set the context for the readers to understand cyber security strategy, key elements and implementation steps with insights into how to measure performance and effectiveness.
