Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) OBD2 Fault Code Reader OBDII Code Scanner Car Check Engine Light for iOS/Android

This is a great little device. Worked perfectly on my 07 ford focus and my 2001 Lexus is200. Was able to check all codes, remove dash lights and check stats live. When you receive it you need to download developers app VgateFwUpdater, once downloaded open it. Hit the scan button to scan for your device once done hit update to update the firmware. Bear in mind engine needs to be switched on for power to update & scan the ecu. Then download car scanner on App Store. Very simple to do. Just plug the obd in and start the engine up, open car scanner, go to setting and select your car from the database once done, go to the main menu and hit connect. Takes a few seconds only. On my Lexus I removed the check engine light cause of the decat and removed all lambda codes. Cel then turned off. The ford focus had 1 code for a system fault which was removed. Everything is sound now. Saved money from going to a mechanic. Brilliant little obd scanner. 3 lights on the front to tell you it’s on & Bluetooth is active. Can’t recommend it more. For £20 what more could you want. Just buy it.

Good gadget, works and connects well, but unfortunately for me didn't support my car... Which is an issue I'm finding with even the most expensive scanners out there, but for the most of makes and models this works well

I read all the reviews for this, across multiple outlets, yet couldn't confirm if this allowed access to more than just the engine control unit. I can confirm that not only does it read and erase fault codes from all of the cars systems (ABS, SRS, alarm, dash, heating etc) but it also allows for programming features. FYI, I'm using this in conjunction with the Car Scanner app, on an android phone, to diagnose faults on my 2017 Skoda Octavia MK3.5 MQB. This eobd dongle is absolutely brilliant, and well worth the money. I managed to turn off my airbag warning light after accidently cycling the ignition with the seats out. I plugged in the dongle, connected over BLE, and had full access to every system available on my car. Had I gone to a garage/dealer, I would be looking at a minimum of a £45 charge just to clear the light. For £22, I now have the capability for the remainder of the life of the vehicle. Just buy it.

This adaptor works with many OBD apps on my android phone, easy to get working. The fact it drops to sleep mode when the vehicle isn't running and wakes back up when you start it is a big bonus, you can leave it connected all the time without worrying if it will flatten your battery as it only draws 3mA when asleep.

It’s ok just for reading codes, didn’t find much more use of, limited to what you can do, probably down to the apps that are available

Dacia service reset fix. I bought this ti remove the service reset on my Dacia which it did in less than 20 seconds along with the Dacia reset app from Google play. I had bough a cheaper ELM but it didn't work but this one worked and completed reset in under a minute.

This little device is absolutely brilliant, gives live data (great for bmw 1 series as it has no temperature gauge), finds faults, can clear and delete faults. Easy to set up, easy to use. My only criticism is that it's small, in the sense that it can be tricky to get it out of the port (on my car the port is sunk into the plastics in the foot well) other than that it's fantastic.

I bought this for my vauxal vivaro 2013 van.i was having trouble turning a code off , this sorted it out. Plus lots of other uses.
