A nod to paniolo (cowboy) and ranching culture found in island upcountry, this sandal is a dapper addition to any outfit. Made with high-character, full-grain leather, and embroidery inspired by the stitching on Hawaiian saddles, you’ll feel the workmanship in every step. Made for the beach, not the ocean—prolonged contact with water may cause damage.

Comfort
These shoes are really good once they mold to your feet! Money well spent

Best flip flop for any amount of money!
Amazing! Pure bliss as far as flip flops go. Bought these for my GF as I’ve been wearing them for a few years now and she asked for a pair of olukai’s for Christmas but the girls version is far inferior.Starting with the leather. It’s tough and durable, the cowboy stitching is so tasteful, they are comfy shoes right out of the box, but that’s just the beginning. I wear them all day working in the studio, or standing at an art show, or cooking or cleaning or boating or shopping or or or…I love em! Maybe the best part is the security when walking on wet ground. Even painted concrete, I can walk with confidence. Oh. Jumping out of the bed of the truck onto the metal trailer frame?!?! Yeah no slip! They are the best like I said. I got her the size 8’s and the fit is perfect. Great job OluKai! Oh I also have them in black. Love those too.

The most comfortable flip-flops ever!
These are fantastic! Extremely comfortable and stay on your feet when you walk. I upgraded from a pair of Rainbows. The only downside is the leather on the bottom. There are rubber pads that touch the ground but everywhere that there isn't a rubber pad, there is leather. It's very nice looking but tends to get cut up and gouged when walking through gravel and rocks. I think I'll get 2 years out of them.

Great sandals, run small by two sizes in my case
I received my first pair of the brown Mekila sandals as a gift a little over 3 year ago. They took some time to break in, particularly the toe post.I work from home and wore them all day, everyday around the house. The left sandal frayed and finally broke a few days ago at the toe post! I don't think I have ever used another pair of foot wear as extensively. The embroidery had completely worn away.So I bought a new pair without thinking twice!I wear size 10 shoes and have wide feet, but I had to get size 12 for these.Great quality, beautiful embroidery. Highly recommended.

If they're too stiff at first, apply some leather conditioner to help break them in.
Comfort:After wearing some of the other, less expensive, OluKai leather flip flops for over a decade, this is my first pair of the higher-end, fully-leather-wrapped styles.I was actually quite disappointed at first, as they were very stiff, nowhere near as comfortable as the others, and even became painful after extended use. This was quite discouraging, but once I realized that it was simply a stiffness issue, I started "breaking them in" like I might a baseball glove, and I applied some leather conditioner to them to make them softer and protect them from the elements.Since applying the conditioner and getting them broken in, they're now far more comfortable than any of the other pairs - I'm glad I didn't send them back.

seem like good quality, run small.
They look sharp and definitely the most expensive flip flops I’ve bought. We will see how well they hold up. I’m hoping for a very long time given the price. The stitching makes them look pretty sharp. They fit about a size small compared to other olukai sandals I tried.

Worth the money
These will take a bit to break in. Especially the thong. Nice stitching and and support. I wear my other Olukais daily when it is warmer and go for long walks in them without worrying about arch support. Have worn these on deep sea fishing trips as well. The hard pads on the soles will wear out well before the leather so you’ll get a lot of years outta these. These are a bit too classy for fishing trips or water park stuff imho tho.
