PIR Sensor Light Switch Outdoor IP65, Surface mount, LED suitable, Wall Ceiling mounting, Infrared Motion Sensor programmable, Range max. 24m/360°, 3-wire

I had installed two LED floodlights, one at each corner of my house, pointing diagonally to the backyard. I wanted to have motion sensors that could detect access from the sides of the house as well as when I stepped in the backyard through the patio doors. I installed some corner PIRs that claimed 270 degree coverage but they were rubbish with continuous false detection and no sensitivity control. Those landed in the trash very soon and over the summers I just had my lights disconnected.I bought two of these 360 degree sensors as they have a sensitivity control. Actually, I bought one first to test and when things looked good I ordered another one.They work excellent, I have not had to change the sensitivity at all (default is set to max) and they don't suffer from false detection. Time and ambient light settings are accurate and easy to set. Detection range is amazing. Fitting was a breeze once I realised that I could pull the terminal connector out of the casing and it was just a matter of push-fit connection and putting the connector back in it's place.Have only had these for a while so can't comment on longevity and weather-protection but so far, they are working perfectly.

An excellent price of equipment, easily fitted, easy to adjust and very sensitive to movement!

Bought 3 of these PIR switches to replace ones without sensitivity adjustment that had the outdoor lights on all night whenever the slightest breeze wafted by.Not only are these Sebson switches very easy to install, but they also seem to be very reliable. The false detections have now gone and the outdoor lights only come on at night when they need to.

Used to activate outside lamp. Fitted in exactly the same place as old sensor.Does not switch off . On al lthe time !Will be calling in an electrician to investigate.

I bought this to replace a years-old PIR movement detector that drive some outside lights. This unit is a little more expensive than some but it has 360˚ (all-round) detection that means it now triggers the lights when I come out of my door as well as when visitors approach the house. It seems to be well made and weather-resistant.It's reasonably easy to fit (better than most I have wrestled with in the past). It has 4 connections: Neutral (in/out), Live (in) and Switched Live (out to your lights or whatever). There's no provision for Earth so if you need to pass that through you'll need to add a small connector block (there's room for that).Once fitted, it has adjustment for ambient light (Lux - how dark before it triggers), sensitivity (giving some range control) and duration (how long the switched power remains live).All-in-all it seems a nice unit.

Bought to replace one that had been doing it's job for the last ffifteen years and finally retired itself. Seems to be an improvement on the old one. Easy to install. Very sensitive, but this is not a bad thing just took a while to get set up to my satifaction.

Much better than the unit it replaced. Being able to adjust the sensitivity means it only turns the light on when I want it on.
