As a side constant light to help me focus in when shooting outside it’s great! Indoor it’s plenty powerful to use as an add on light if you plan on doing some podcast type interview or stream

It may not be as bright as 60W lights from other well-known brands. Also it’s a bit too expensive. However it works very well and it’s so tiny and easy to setup! Always ready when I need to record a YouTube video

I only know of Zhiyun by reputation as one of the better camera stabiliser manufacturers for video equipment. It seems that now they are venturing into the territory of lighting so I was interested to see what they’d come up with. This 60W light is a tiny: 3” x 2.5” x 2.5” with an additional 2.5” when you attach the reflector. The reflector comes with a rubber diffuser attached, but it needs reversing for use. 60w (even if that is LED watts) and studio lighting don’t quite go together for me. Mind you I’m used to studio flash that pumps out more power than I need. Anyway I popped this onto a lighting stand and came across my first dislike of this unit. It doesn’t have e a quick release lighting stand clamp. You have to rotate it (or the stand) to screw it onto the threaded part at the top of the stand and it doesn’t lock tight so the slightest knock moves it. Not what you want if you are using it for table-top photography. The knurled knob that allows you to change the vertical angle is far too small and difficult to use, but it does lock securely. There are three controls. The on/off is a tiny orange button on the top of the unit. Press and hold to turn on or off. Two rotating knobs are on the back along with a small LCD screen. The screen shows power output in % - left hand knob to change - and colour temperature in deg K - right hand knob to change. Again the knobs are tiny. The brightness control is difficult to get a grip on and consequently requires 25 twists (not complete rotations) to go from 0% to 100%. My twist was just as far as I could comfortably rotate my wrist before having to let go and re-position my fingers. I’ve attached five images. All taken with a Canon EOS R6 and Canon 100mm f2.8 macro lens. The images were originally RAW files. The room had the curtains drawn but it was bright sunshine outside so the room was nowhere near dark. One image shows the test setup. One was shot with the colour balance at max 6500K, another at min 2700K. The other pair show the subject shot using the diffuser attached and without the diffuser. You’ll notice there’s a three stop light loss with the diffuser. The light was positioned 20” away from the subject. The camera was set to Auto white balance so it may well have tried to adjust the warmth of the image, but setting a custom white balance would still have interfered with the result. To get an idea of the useful strength of this light I moved it to a distance of 63” (a distance which gives you a reasonable space to work in) and took a light reading with the light on and with the light off. Light on: 1/60sec f2.8 ISO 400. Light off i.e. room light: 1/60 sec f2.0 ISO 400. So at a distance of around 5ft you get a lift of just one-stop with this light. That’s the same as dropping the shutter speed to 1/30sec or bumping the ISO up to 800. If you have a tripod you don’t need the light. Though what it will do close-up is give you control over shadows and contrast which would be more difficult with just ambient lighting. For close up table top stuff it could be very useful, but I see it as of more use to a YouTuber to light their face with this light on a table top tripod right next to them. Also the advantages of its tiny-ness are lost once you put it on a studio lighting stand. It’s ok. The controls are not well implemented, but they work, and the attachment to a support needs a re-think. It seems really well-built. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the quality, but I’m not sure of its value to a photographer.

🔎 The ZHIYUN MOLUS G60 [Official] 60W LED Video Light comes securely packed in branded packaging. Inside you will find the LED video light unit, a power supply, a reflector with a rubber diffuser, and a short instruction manual. There is also a small mesh bag for the power supply with cables. The light can be powered using the main connected power supply provided, a power bank, or a regular charging plug with a USB-C cable. When using any other power source, than an original power supply, the power output will be limited, depending on how much power the source can deliver. The maximum I was able to get out of the power bank, was a 24% brightness level( using a 10.000mAh Samsung power bank ). Using the super fast charging plug, the Molus G60 went up to 48%. Another option might be using a dedicated video battery with a higher output level( but I haven't had any around to test it ). 🧡 I love the small, compact design of this light( it is very bright despite its size ). The small tripod mount is very sturdy and holds the light very well in place. The color temperature adjustment wheel works very well, and it is easy to set the desired values. The same I can say about the brightness wheel, it is very easy to adjust. It can be easily mounted on virtually any tripod or video light mount. 👎 One downside to me is the lack of light modifiers you can use with this light. You have 2 options: 1. use dedicated( small and expensive ) Zhiyun softbox 2. buy an adapter to be able to use Bowens system modifiers. Another thing is - it is hard to find a suitable carrying case for this light. There is one being sold as part of the combo set, but if you don't buy a combo, you will have to search for a 3rd party case. 💲 Considering how well this light is made, how compact it is, and how bright, I would definitely recommend it to anyone in need of a quality video light, that can be quite literally carried in your hand.

What's not to like about this little cute light. Perfect for gorilla film making, weddings and documentaries abroad. This is a mini light that will fit in your luggage. Think of the possibilities. But to come back down to earth, I don't believe professionals will trade in their large studio lights, but the size will apical to a wide audience. 5***** I will be using this all the time, especially for my YouTube Channel

First of all, this light looks incredible. Although it's dumb, the photo/video industry includes clients that like pro looking equipment. And this light looks very cool in person. In addition, the amount of light provided from it's size also impresses. I've used this light for portraits during blue light conditions and got great results. The client couldn't believe it came out of a little case like that as well. The case is sort of acceptable quality. It's not quite as professional as other industry products, but it's passable. My product came with some strange dust or colored residue both on the cardboard packaging and on the light itself. The cardboard wasn't an issue because it's just packaging, and the particulate on the light was easy to wipe of with a dry towel. The usability of the light is wonderful. I've used it while plugged in and also while using an external battery for mobile application. Both experiences are really great. The wall plugin isn't the longest cable in the world, but they include a nice mesh bag to hang the bulky part of the charger from the light stand. This keeps the extra weight off the power plug. I also used that bag to hold the external battery as well. My biggest critique is the included softbox and dome are not compatible with the bowens mount that is included. This mount requires another softbox. These can be had from $50-$150 extra. Kind of a bummer, but hard to complain too much. For $250, you will be quite satisfied with this product.

I am very impressed by this light from ZHIYUN that is a COB LED continuous light for video and photography. Regardless if it is a light or not it is so freaking cute that I would want to have it if it was only a toy that did nothing, that is how cute and tiny it is. You can see that this light got me excited, so now let’s be more serious as to why this is a special light. I have many COB LED lights that are very expensive and so much bigger that I use for lighting my videos and now with this small light I can do almost the same light setup but way smaller footprint. 60W is powerful and can product quality light for my video and product shot, plus the included diffusion dome produce soft light that is crucial to quality light source. The Molus G60 is a bi-colour light with a range of 2700K-6500K CCT so it does cool and warm light. The brightness can be adjusted from 1% to 100% to get just the right amount. The two control knobs are intuitive and simple to use. The light can be powered by an external power bank, note that it will not output at maximum capacity using it. Many accessories can be used with the light and an optional Bowens mount adapter (come with the combo) can make it compatible with light modifiers that are of that kind. I can see so many possibilities for using this light creatively because of its size and 60 W power output. I can strongly recommend this light if you are a videographer or photograph that wants a small compact lighting setup on the go at an affordable price.

I have many typical (rectangular shaped) LED lights for photography and I was looking for one specific to Portrait Photography outdoors in both sunlight and evenings. I enjoy low light photography as well and mostly do not use additional lighting when outside... however sometimes you want your object placed in the perfect environment but unfortunately you may not have great lighting or obstructive shadows. This is where these lights are handy as 60W is plenty allowing for enough distance from subject yet still being able to adjust temperature and amount hitting the subject without problems. The combo kit is highly recommended as it contains everything you need (bring a tripod for the lighting if you don't have someone available to hold it for you) and all in a nice portable carry bag. Here is my initial experience with these lights indoors and outdoors: - Enough reach even at using 30-40% brightness (depending environment even less is enough) - Nice natural look on subject after adjusting temperature - Quick setup on tripod due to included mount - Power bank (100W at 20000 mAh) no problems running this light for the amount I used it - Small portable USB 100W PD charger used indoors with no problems (if u don't want to use the supplied adapter) - build quality is better than expected. Although mainly out of plastic it does not look too cheap and its seem well constructed. The benefit is definitely the light weight... The negative (but no deal breaker): - Not water resistent as with most such lights this is the case - No option for battery pack attachment - would be nice if a mount specific for this could be manufactured (even better with custom batterie pack) - A bit expensive when compared to other manufactures In conclusion I am happy with my purchase and it covers my needs outside almost 100%. The light is portable and is in my opinion well built even though mainly out of plastic and while being more on the expensive side, the Combo kit is a worthwhile investment as it has everything needed for it (also for a Studio environment). If this product is durable (only time will tell) then it is definitely worth the money spent. Currently on offer (Black Friday) so don't think twice and just go for it!

La intensidad de la luz, incluso en el nivel más bajo, es mas que suficiente para cualquier espacio domestico, y entiendo que también es válido para espacios más amplios. La calidad y los acabados son excepcionales, el foco cuenta con un sistema de enfriamiento super silencioso, y si esto fuera poco, además de los accesorios que trae la versión que yo compé, el servicio post venta fue excelente.
