pretty good point and shoot.
Not the best camera, however, it is by no means the worst.Compact, light and very easy to use, image quality pretty good, optical zoom is good, just don't expect pro quality images.For everyday use or the need to take a quick photo, it's perfect, it really is just a good point and shoot, compact camera.

DO NOT BUY - Camera not working after less than eight months
As at 8 Jul 24, I have now been struggling with Sony for more than a month (during which time camera has been totally unusable at less than 8 months old). Camera suddenly stopped working, for no apparent reason. When switching on the usual initial message, of "Cyber-shot" appears (with usual sound). But this changes to, "! Turn the power off and on again". However, turning off and on again does NOT rectify the situation, with the same message of, "! Turn the power off and on again" being repeated. Hence, the camera being totally useless (more than a month ago). I struggled to find out any information whatsoever re guarantee, have now been asked to provide information that had NOT been provided as a matter of course at time of purchase ... I am being told to photograph camera prior to packaging (which must meet specifications set by Sony) and sending to Sony (for "repair") with no responsibility being taken by Sony.

Nice camera - When it works
Nice little camera - when it works.Good Points:1 Light. Easy to carry.2. Zoom is good for it's price range.3. Picture quality good in normal conditions (for a point & shoot camera).Bad points:1. Hard to start and close down. The buttons constantly stick.2. Camera often sticks in the "on" position. Miss photo opportunities.3. Battery rarely charges to its' full capacity.

This was a replacement for my last Sony which I have had for over ten years. Easy to use and hopefully will last as long as the last one.
