Walk down memory lane
Walk down memory lane with Joan Collins was a lot of fun! I was one of those who noticed her first from “City on the Edge of Forever” and then whenever noticed her in a movie or on TV would watch. She has led an interesting life and reading about all the various movies and actors that I recognized brought back a lot of good memories. It is also eye opening on how hard things were for women in that business and yet she still enjoyed her life and was funny and entertaining and a classy lady in what she wrote about others. Here’s to a Third Act.

Second Act was a great on !
Love "Second Act". I love to read books written byfamous people when their story is about their lives and the people they have worked with. Their point of view is so interesting. I feel Joan's story is an honest one , good and bad mistakes. I wish the book was longer. I found many of her movies to watch while reading her book. The " Star Trek " episode was great. Thank you Joan.

JOAN COLLINS- HOLLYWOOD CHRONICLER
In her first autobiography, Past Imperfect (1978), Ms. Collins chronicled her many loves. And they were many, from Warren Beatty, whose child she aborted to Ryan O'Neal, a birthday present to herself, Joan chronicled Hollywood's twisty love lives. But in this new installment, Joan Collins chronicles the many famous faces she has met. From Marilyn to Madonna, from Sir John Gieuglod to Billy Wilder. Having first arrived in Hollywood as a contract starlet at 20th Century Fox back in the 1950s Joan Collins was always a headlinder, not for her many forgetfull films, but for scandlous lifestyle which could rival any Dynasty plotline, the TV show that finally made certified star. Through four marriages, many love affairs, numerous films and TV roles, a battle to save her daughters life, Joan Collins remains funny, witty, and a true Hollywood surviour.

Simply Joan.
Light and chatty....interesting behind the scenes regarding her litigation with the publication of her previous novel. Eventually, Ms. Collins slips into the time-line version of a memoir...but what a fun time line it is:)

Sanitised for America
Having read Past Imperfect, her previous autobiography from pre-Dynasty days, i read this thinking it would be an extension of the first. So much of what gave the original is colour has gone. The refereshing honestly about some of the more contentious aspects of her life is missing, how she lost her virginity is skipped over nicely and her lovers have been relegated to the background and are hardly mentioned. I admire this woman for living her own rules and not bowing to the nonsense peddled by the mainstream about how women should behave. This book is a tum te tum journey thru her life, obviously bleached out and dumbed down for the american market. That said she writes well, she is witty and her personality does shine thru, but do read Past Imperfect if you want the savoury and unsavoury truth. If you want a watered down version cos your all judgemental and stuff, then read this

Same as the first book
What a disappointment. It’s pretty much the same as the first book. I assumed it would pick up where the last left off but I’m still ploughing through the same stories.
