Strong, permanent
I've used J-B Cold-Weld Epoxy on a variety of projects, and it has consistently delivered impressive results. This product is a go-to solution for strong, permanent repairs on a wide range of materials, including metal, wood, plastic, and more. The two-part formula is easy to use—just mix equal parts of the resin and hardener, apply it to the surface, and let it cure. One of the standout features of J-B Cold-Weld is its incredible bonding strength. Once cured, it forms a solid, durable bond that can withstand high stress and pressure. I’ve used it for both household repairs and automotive fixes, and it has held up exceptionally well under different conditions. Whether you need to patch a crack in a metal frame, fix a broken tool handle, or repair a household item, this epoxy won’t let you down. Another thing I appreciate is the versatility in finishing. After the epoxy has fully cured, it can be sanded, drilled, or painted, which is perfect for creating seamless repairs that look professional. The cure time is reasonable, giving you enough time to adjust the application before it starts setting, but it doesn’t take an excessive amount of time to fully harden either. Overall, J-B Cold-Weld Epoxy is a reliable and effective solution for both small and large repair projects. It’s affordable, easy to use, and delivers results that last. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a tough, permanent fix for their repair needs.

Very messy but very effective
I bought to repair 6mm bolt fixing points ABS plastic carrying handle and mud-guard on a mobility scooter. The bolts secure a heavy gearbox, steel chassis, real axle, wheels and motor at least 15Kg. This took 2 attempts. The first failed as I tried to minimise the visual appearance of the repair and didnt use sufiffient thickness. The second attempt was a minimum of 2 mm thick and has held now for over 6 months of regular use. The repair is very visible from the underside. As with any epoxy type 'glue' it is easy to get it everywhere. I would strongly recommend gloves and glasses, and I'm someone very used to getting glues and paints on my hands. It's very black and even with acetone is hard to clean off body parts, the dining table, furniture and places other family members may not appreciate it sticking to. But this is a good thing. It's glue. We don't want it to come off stuff! JB Weld is more effective than plain epoxy adhesive but not as subtle. It sticks to things that epoxy can't. It sets harder than epoxy. In fact it sets harder than pretty much anything that I've ever squeezed out of tube! When something carries the same health warning 4 times and uses words like "respirator" and "First Aid" you know it means business! It will sand down but it's hard going by hand and clogs abrasives, So as a means of sticking stuff together it's great, but at least when I use it, It sure ain't pretty! it says setting time is 4 hours, but working time is around 20 minutes. Setting time just means it is no longer liquid, in much the same way cake mix solidifies in the oven. At this point its about as strong as cake. Unlike cake, JB Weld takes 24 hours to get strength (I found out the hard way) .

Decent product, super strong but long cure time
Bought this product to repair some things around the house. It's forms a much stronger bond than any of the other JB Weld products, at the cost of time. The Kqik Weld epoxies are decent, but I always find they pull clean off a surface given time or a sudden impact, even after roughing up the surface. This one on the other hand refuses to come off, works great for metal, plastic and wood, the only issue is it takes multiple hours to firm (6+) up and really does take a full 24 hours to fully cure. Use clamps to keep everything in place, don't mess with it for 24 hours and you'll be set for a really solid bond.

Very strong bond with gap filling capability
Easy to mix. Sets slowly (over an hour's working time) and eventually (12+ hours) forms an extremely strong bond. I used it to fix a golf club shaft into a club head. It was ideal for this. It is liquid constituency so needs to fully supported whilst it sets.
