Great grooming product and long lasting
I have a smooth coated Jack Russel and have been using a brush to groom her but it has proved to be very ineffective. I then saw this item and thought I would give it a try. I have quite large hands and it fits well with room to spare. My dog loves it and will actually bark to be groomed if she sees the glove. I could not believe the amount of loose hair it removes from her. It is very easy to clean. I also like the free collapsible water bowl. I wrote this review in 2016. That glove has now just worn out May 2022 and I’ve purchased a second one. Excellent product which I can highly recommend.

The cat’s whiskers!
My long haired cat usually attacks brushes and gloves when you attempt to groom her, however she likes this one. I like the fact that it’s not all rubber as the smell usually puts cats off. It’s easy to use and got a lot of hair out. Maybe my cat is a bit weird but she prefers to be stroked with the glove itself instead of the hand wearing the glove !We used the free pop up water bowl for our resident hedgehog.Overall a good product I would recommend.and very good value for money.

If your dog's top coat is long and thick don't expect miracles but it's excellent for massage and removing fur from car seats.
It's not particularly helpful to write a neutral review but it's appropriate for this product. Its performance on my beloved Samoyed's top coat is poor - her outer fur is too thick and too long for the glove to be effective but she enjoys the massage/grooming of her undercoat (when I reach it). The glove does score very well in removing her fur from the cloth seats of our cars, hence the three star rating. I'd buy it again if just for this purpose.

Very effective on short coat Jack & Staffy
I have two dogs, a flat coat Jack Russell and a Staffordshire bull terrier. The Jack is constantly shedding. I have been using the furminator for years. But I lost it recently. So I was going to get another one. But I saw this mitten and decided to try it instead. Well it came yesterday. I went out into the garden and started grooming her with this glove. My word. It was so quick and so much hair removed!! I can't usually groom for too long as I don't have a raised bench outside to put the dog onto. So I can only usually manage a few minutes of grooming at a time. But in just a few minutes I got more loose hair off my dog than grooming for half an hour with the furminator. My staffy only sheds twice a year, he is not shedding right now. The furminator is getting barely any hair from him. I groomed him for about a minute and, wow, the mitten was pretty full of his hair. From where I don't know? The other thing with the furminator is that the Jack hated it. If she saw me grab it she would run and I would have to hold onto to her while I'm grooming. She loved this. She didn't move and just let me groom her and when I finished she looked like she wanted more. My dogs are short coats, so I can't comment on its effectiveness on long coated dogs. The glove is very large. But I have big hands for a woman, so I could use this OK. But if you have small hands I think you might struggle with grooming. Although you could sew the glove to make a tighter fit and it would work better then

DakPets Pets Grooming Glove fits all sizes?
I purchased this grooming glove because it claims to fit all hand sizes. In fact it is miles too big for me despite fasting as tightly as possible it is baggy andt moves around on my hand making it really difficult to use. It does NOT fit all sizes.

Waste of money for a glove.
Really didn't do much in terms of brushing my cat's coat and getting rid of loose excess hair. Ended up being a total mess, with hairs all stuck to the glove which were hard to remove, plus my cat didnt like being approached by a massive glove. Also, the free travel pop up bowl was pointless for my large russian black terrier dog, as it is very shallow and doesnt hold much water at all.

Much better and more efficient than the Furminator brush
I originally bought the Furminator brush but when our shorthaired pup started to shed and grow in his adult coat, it just wasn't up to the job - the plastic prongs are so short it just didn't grab the hair and it was hard and really uncomfortable for the dog who hated it. My friend had a glove brush so I looked for similar. This really is excellent - it's comfortable and relaxing for the dog and brushes him super efficiently. He's still shedding like a snowstorm so I use it every day and he loves it. I have one suggestion for the manufacturers and it's the glove is right handed - it would be great if you could also make one for lefties or had the prongs on both sides for all to use. Great product, highly recommended.
