4 stars only because I JUST got it and applied it to my phone. I like that it is very tiny. I have a Galaxy S8 which has the RETINA SCANNER right next to the camera lens so I made sure to position this little cam cover the other way so as not to block the retina scanner ( should I ever decide to use it). I like that it doesn't compromise my phone's functions or the way I use it. It is pretty thin and does not come up higher than my phone case. I peeled off the adhesive backing and placed it on my phone WITHOUT APPLYING ANY PRESSURE YET. I used a paper clip to help me position it. I am a woman and I have small hands and still needed a little tool to help me do this. Once I got it in place I closed the slider and pressed. It seems to be intact so far. I do use my face recognition and other biometrics to unlock my phone so you might want to take that under consideration If you use FACE RECOGNITION. You'll have to open the slider. Otherwise, I'd use my fingerprint instead. I put one on my Surface Pro, and I'll be sharing them with my family. I love that there are black ones and silver ones for more options. All in all, I think its a pretty snazzy little gadget.Feb.8, 2020I am about to purchase my 5th pack of these Cimkiz Webcam covers. I've tried couple of other types but ended up returning them. These are the only ones that are small enough for my Galaxy S8, however:--The pieces are metal and the little circle that slides is magnet so it will stick to my earring.--I've lost a few of the little circles, so its a good thing they come in a pack. They're just little magnets so getting stuck on stuff in my purse causes me to lose it. Most likely paper. It doesn't come off when in my pocket.My husband's has never come off so it's the contents of my purse that removes it.Otherwise, these are the ones I like because they are not too big. I'll prob continue to buy these. They're great for ALL my family's devices as well.UPDATE 11-10-21. Still using these! Yep they're working great for me and my family. I now have a Galaxy Z Flip 3 and I'm still deciding if I'm going to put it on my flip phone.UPDATE 11-15-21 Works perfectly on my Galaxy Z Flip 3. It does not tough or compromise the functionality of the Flip feature at all. Excellent!

Yeah, you heard me. These are the tiniest covers I've found! This part is amazing. What sucks is how much it travels after applying. The adhesive blows chunks, and even when I replace it with something arguably "better", i'm still not sure of how stable the placement is.In the rare event you feel you may need to trim the metal so it fits over your camera, diamond files work great and quickly to increase the camera hole diameter. Seeing as I've placed mine on a glass screen protector, I'm HEAVILY considering replacing even the so called "better" adhesive I put on it for 5 minute set clear epoxy. I'm serious-- if you don't want this to fall off, 5 min set clear epoxy may be the only way. Just make sure you're bonding to a screen protector and not the device itself.If I ignore the adhesive and focus on the size, 5 of 5 stars, easy. Silver is the superior color, if only because there's no paint necessary for the aesthetic. The black ones I got were too easy to scratch off the paint with a fingernail. Silver is au natural. No paint, and overall better for that reason alone.Yes, there is something magnetic about this camera cover. Not a big deal, but simply confirming that's an actual thing with this product.Recommended for anyone who needs something super small and can deal with adhesive that's OK at best.

Pros:- very slender profile, they do not stick off the surface of the phone very far at all.- easy to apply- the base sticks to the phone well- easy to slide the cover back and forthCons:- Beware that the cover is a magnet. i.e. if you place your phone face down on any metal surface, you'll likely lose the cover because the attraction to the metal surface is greater than it's attraction to the tiny, metal base. If your bag, belt, etc. has a lot of metal hardware, beware.- Also because the cover is just magnetic, it can easy come off as you pull your phone out of a bag, tight pocket, etc.In sum, I purchased a six pack of these less than six months ago. I am on the very last one because of how easily the covers come off. That's an average of one per month. They work, but the hassle and frustration is a factor to be considered if needing to regularly replace these is a dealbreaker for you. If you don't mind that and are prioritizing the narrow profile above all else, they're not a bad pick.

I bought these to put on my work administered iPad. They are the perfect size and made of metal rather than cheap plastic. Unfortunately, they are so small and the adhesive is so weak that even after wiping down the screen with an alcohol wipe and drying thoroughly, it just won’t stay in the same place and if I just lightly nudge it, it changes the angle of the cover on the screen. I like things even and to stay in place, but unfortunately these just won’t adhere well enough to stay in the same place very long.Update: I'm returning these. The adhesive is terrible and will not stay in one spot on my iPad. I've reduced my rating too since the black ones paint peels off too easily, making it quite unsightly.
