Hiplok DX Wearable D/U Lock

Seem very secure but on the short side and doesn't fit around sign post, but purpose built bicycle street racks no problem 👍

Nicely made and sold secure diamond which is the highest security rating. Also probably one of the lightest locks with such high security. Only problem is it is very small so will only work with a bike stand. Anything a bit thicker and it will not fit.

The lock itself feels/looks safe and secure, but due to the size, it is often not the easiest to use or lock your bike up with.Depending on the size of the bike rack you may struggle to get the lock around your frame and the pole or rack you are securing it with.Overall, good lock but its size limits its usage a lot of the time, so i use it in combination with longer d locks.

It feels like a solid lock and is very convenient to attach it to the belt. I also appreciate the soft touch coating, which makes it nicer to handle. It's quite a small U lock, but that's what I wanted because it's easier to carry and, assuming you can fit it around the bike, harder to break into

Only had this lock a few days and I guess I can’t give it five stars at this point and I’m hoping it won’t be put to the test. However needs must, just purchased an eBike and it’s essential not that I intend to leave it unattended. I will also buy a cafe lock, remove battery etc just to make it undesirable to steel.

I spent a lot of time contemplating a decent lock for my new mountain bike - the area I live in has had a spate of bicycle thefts just recently so I didn't want to stick with the Center Parc lock I used on my old bike. Following some extensive research (by reading many other reviews) I decided on this D/U Hiplok. What swayed me to this product was the ability to hook the lock on my shorts/jeans. Whilst it's a great little lock, I have removed a star as it was heavier than I expected - in fairness, the weight is clearly stated on the advert, however, I didn't really consider this properly. What this means is that you cannot necessarily slide it over your running shorts (as it'll make them fall down!) - you really can only attach this to a belt if you want to wear it.I'd also note that it is a very snug fit if you have a large/thick bicycle frame - I have a Trek X-Caliber and I'm very limited on positions I can use this (for example, I'll never get the frame and a wheel locked to a toastrack cycle rack) so I opt for just securing the frame and the using a Hiplok Z LOK for securing my front wheel.All my moaning aside, the lock itself seems very strong and I'd like to think it will put any suspecting thief off attempting to steal my goods!

I have a Cube Hybrid Ebike so it is in parts a thicker frame than a standard bike which usually put me off D Locks. This is admittedly a snug fit however i really like that, it fits through all the bike hoops and stands ive come across and leaves a snug fit that i cant see any bottlejack attempt breaking through. Theres no way bolt cutters are going to get through it, especially if its raised off the floor, they wouldnt have the leverage to apply pressure.If someone can pick one or is prepared to use an agle grinder then there is very little you can do about it, how many oppurtunist bike thieves carry angle grinders around i dont know, its not a quiet thing to undertake so that really leaves lock pickers and if someone is skilled enough to pick one of these or any lock then there isnt much anybody can do. As said its a snug fit but does go around the frame on the top tube, down tube and underneath the stem.I have no qualms about leaving it in public for an hour or two, that said i have my bike insured. The best thing about this D Lock other than the Sold Secure rating is the transportability of it, i also have a Bulldog Chain Lock, which weighs nearly three times as much as this and is huge, its just not practical.This lock can slip into your back pack or over your back pocket if you use the attachment. Ive ridden lots of places with it over my belt loop and over my back pocket if nipping to the shops in jeans, its never come off and feels very sturdy though i wouldnt wear it on a trail, but who locks bikes on trails. For commuting its fantastic, much lighter than chain locks, and it also comes dressed in a rubberised coating which means its not going to prang your paintwork. If you have oversized fixtures like big fences or girders you secure your bike to then a chain lock is always going to be better fit wise, but this is just fine on as said a very chunky ebike frame on standard council cycle stands and racks and lots more!Ive had two months use from it daily with no issues, will upate if theres any failure or theft but looks solid and durable for me, five stars!

It's a great heavy duty product that's not too heavy itself. Extremely durable and is simple to install, lock and dismount. I live the idea of keys being registered to each owner so it ensures security of your item and it looks great too!
