Sorry if I am being a bit silly but where is the bell push?

It does not come with one. If you home has one fitted to the front door frame, use that one, if not you need to buy one from a hardware shop that will have the wire required included. If not buy a new one from a DIY chain. This you will have to fit and wire up yourself and buy the bell wire and clips. Take your time and ask for help if required.

Will this work with a straight forward 2 wired push button doorbell?

Yes, it was one of the few doorbells that were of the wired type available when I bought mine some time ago, and has been working faultlessly since installation.

Can this be connected to a Mac computer ?

sorry to hear that,the problem i found that when you put a mp3 file(music track) on it. is that when you press the bell push,it plays the whole track,so if you have a song on it that is 3 minutes,it will play for 3 minutes.very annoying after a while.unless you have a program like audacity to shorten the track.

can you buy an extra plug in ?

I have two running off one door bell push. They are simply wired in parralel
