First things first - this pen is utterly stunning, with a design that isn't merely painted on to the pen unlike some others at this price point. The design is embossed onto the pen and is apparently gold-plated, and is reminiscent of a high-end piece of Chinese ceramics. The cap is also nicely patterned, which is also a pleasant surprise at this price point.The pen is very solidly built and definitely falls within the 'oversize' category. The pen has a nice weight to it and a good, chunky grip. My only gripe with the design is the fact that this pen posts very poorly, however the pen is already fairly large unposted.I ordered this pen in an EF and was shocked to see that the nib was as smooth as a western medium. It's easily the smoothest EF I've ever used!Overall, this is a beautiful pen with a great nib and is definitely worth trying if you like oversized pens.

I have a small collection of fountain pens.I thought this would possibly be quite tacky.However when It arrived I was surprised how nice it is.Well made,quite heavy as it's mostly brass.It's not at all tacky.it writes well also.I bought the extra fine nib.I would recommend this pen.

Very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this pen. Solid brass I think, it’s fairly heavy so don’t buy if you like a featherweight pen.This finish is superb. But the best part is how it writes. The nib has a ‘hard’ feel & very free-writing & smooth without scratching, and I have the extra fine. Product description says it well “ it writes like silk, smoothly, constantly, and utterly non-scratchy, bringing you an enjoyable writing experience.”. This is not an exaggeration.Using Parker Quink ink, it’s written every time I’ve used it without drying up.
