Works well, with some tweaks
Please read this review to avoid a potential return. I almost returned this product and had a 3-star review ready thinking I had been scammed, but after looking for solutions online it turns out that this product is perfect for my needs. I bought the AX5400 version as a way to replace a PCIe Wifi card and the installation was fast and painless; quite literally plug into a USB port and done. The reason for my near-miss was because of the default adapter settings which had 2.4G Wireless Mode enabled. This led to some frustrations because the 2.4G band is only one-fifth the speed that I was paying for. I disabled the 2.4G Wireless Mode to force the product into using the 5G Wireless Mode and everything ended up great again. My PC located about two bedrooms away from the router and separated by two walls, but the wifi adapter is able to maintain a seamless and stable connection. I hope this review helps! I hope this review helps.

Great adapter
This works very well and is so convenient to use. It's easy to set up, and I haven't had any issues with it whatsoever. I'm a university student so I often move my setup around between my dorm and my childhood home, but I haven't had any issues with it connecting to any network. I appreciate how it's wireless, and it's very good and staying connected even thought it's so small I barely notice it.

Good value
Get it if you can't afford a more expensive usb wifi adapter, don't need to download a software to make it work but it works just fine if you need wifi instantly. The speed isn't the greatest but that's a no brainer.

Works perfectly, exactly what I needed
After many years of using hotspots, fiber optic internet finally came to our neighborhood. For my old desktop (about 12 years old) I was using a wifi extender with an ethernet port to connect the pc. Well, the old extender would not work with the fiber optic router. I had a couple of other extenders, same issue. I was about to look for another computer, and thought I would try this little gizmo as a last resort. So very glad that I did! I have Windows 10, so after plugging it into a USB, I verified that the driver auto loaded with Device Manager. Didn't have to download anything! The internet icon at the bottom right changed to indicate a wireless connection, and it was a simple matter of choosing the network and entering the passcode. Probably the easiest setup I've ever experienced! I don't keep it connected all the time, only when I need the internet. After plugging it in, I'm able to be online in about 5 seconds. What really impressed me was that even after being online for a while, the unit is still cool to the touch. My old extenders built up a bit of heat. I'm obviously quite happy with this device. I can't speak of its durability, as I just purchased it a few days ago, but for the price you can't beat it. By spending less than $20, I just saved hundreds by not having to get a new computer!

Great product
Connected right away without any extra downloads. Works really well. My desktop is way faster now that I replaced the other one that had no antenna.

Worked for a couple days, then completely unreliable
I bought two of these WiFi 6E adapters, and unfortunately, both ended up being a waste of money. When I first set them up, I didn’t realize the drivers were included on the device itself. The first one didn’t recognize the driver file at first, but after reinserting it, I was able to install and connect. For the first day or two, it seemed fine, with decent WiFi 6E speeds. However, it quickly started dropping the internet—sometimes multiple times during a single Fortnite match. It would stutter, cut out, then reconnect, which made it very unreliable. The second adapter was even worse. It worked for maybe two days and then completely stopped providing internet. My PC would connect to the router, but no internet access at all—I couldn’t even ping the router. I went through every troubleshooting step (rebooting, checking IP/DNS, running ping tests), but nothing fixed it. After spending way too much time trying to get them to work, I ran ping tests on both units and found far too many dropped packets in just an hour to be usable. Unfortunately, I no longer have the packaging and am outside the return window, so now I’m stuck with two useless dongles. When they worked, they delivered the speeds I expected from WiFi 6E, but both devices failed almost immediately. I thought I had done enough research before buying, but in hindsight, I should have gone with a more reputable brand. Bottom line: Save yourself the frustration. These might work for a short while, but in my experience, they won’t last.

Easy install, works perfectly well.
Works like It should. My laptop hasn't dropped wifi connections since I plugged it in. Once installed, a restart gets it working. So happy. UPDATE: Have used this for a week and I am so very happy with this. It's small, but powerful.

Very easy to install and begin using!!
Just connected the device to my Windows 10 laptops and checked my WiFi status and found WiFi and WiFi 2 in less than 20 seconds. It was that easy!! My original wireless cards that are inside my laptops found 13 -14 different access points. When checking my WiFi 2 connection I am seeing 19 WiFi access points of businesses and homes nearby. Some of them several blocks away. The ones that are here at work are in the complex and they would have anywhere between 2-4 signal bars on with most of them on the lower half, but with this little adapter they are all showing full signal bars. I did actually connect to them and check the strength and noticed a nice gain in signal. For the price I think this is a steal and may by a few more of them just to keep around. Thanks for the help, my home eats wireless signals and I am now getting full bars in my room where I usually got 3 and occasionally 2. Cheap and actually works.

Looks and feels well made and the antenna feels like good quality. worked without need of drivers on windows 10. Better signal strength and speed than the previous USB wifi adapter I had without an antenna. Used it on my sons PC and it made an obvious difference in speed if the internet and latency was decently low as well. The package Includes a driver disc and instructions if you need it and it works for most OSes as it’s a Realtek wireless chip inside. Overall, it’s a very good product at a reasonable price. Would definitely buy again and from this manufacturer.

Works as advertised! Very easy to set up with the included instructions. Receives a very strong signal, I did not notice any slowdown versus plugging in directly with an ethernet cable. One minor quibble: the disc included that provides you with the needed drivers is low quality and my disc drives have trouble reading it, so you may have to download the drivers directly from the company's website. Other than that, recommended.

but doesn't work in Linux , even follow the instruction to compile the driver provided, it couldn't pass compiling, it costed me a lot of time, finally I gave up.

Overall good WiFi adapter and good speed. A couple of quick steps may improve overall user experience. 1. The installation USB comes with both the driver and a utility software. Don't use the utility software. Once you install the driver, uninstall the utility software. I've found the utility software sometimes bugs out and disconnects to the WiFi network. This issue was resolved once the utility software that came with the installation USB was uninstalled. 2. If you notice the speed is a bit slow you can configure the adapter to increase its speed substantially. On a Windows machine search for Device Manager, select Network Adapters, right click on Realtek 8812BU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB NIC and select Properties. Go to the Advanced tab and click Wireless Mode. In this option, by default, the adapter is set to Auto. Instead set it to IEEE802.11ac. Click OK to save the setting. You may need to reconnect to your WiFi network, but you should see a large increase in speed. 3. To optimize speed, you should play around with the angle of the antenna on the WiFi adapter. I recommend using an internet speed test (you can just Google for one) and rotate the antenna to test different angles till you get the fastest speed. In most cases this will be when the antenna is rotated at an angle that make it stick out, so nothing is blocking it.

Like most of these semi generic adapters these work right out of the box, plug and play, zero issues. Ive gone through over a dozen of these for different clients and never had an issue.
