Stack-On GCB-500 Steel Pistol/Ammo Cabinet, Black

Good price at $86, shipping was supposed to be free from Optics Planet but I found afterward that I paid $11. Not the products fault though . Made in Mexico. Hardware included for shelf, cabinet top connection and to screw to wall.Quality is great, it meets my requirements at the right price. Finish, steel thickness, latch, key lock, removable shelf all meet my expectations. I bolted this to the top of my similar Homak vertical cabinet which is 2 inches wider.

Wanted a small lockable cabinet for mags, pistols and ammo. This fit the bill. It's bolted to the bottom rifle cabinet and is very secure. I added the distressed flag (also purchased from Amazon) to match the flag on the bottom. The small cabinet has two shelves and holds quite a bit for the size of it. No it's not a safe, it can be broken into without much effort, but it fits my needs very well. The lock on both cabinets are pretty solid and will definitely keep children out. For the price it's excellent, and also for piece of mind.

Purchase this safe to hold a few handguns with magazines and ammo. This safe it pretty spacious for a small little thing. It comes with one shelf and only one spot spot to put it so you cant adjust the shelf. The bottom section comes with padded foam so good to put firearms on. The back and bottom has holes to mount this to whatever suits you.The downsides of this safe would be is that you cant adjust the shelf as mentioned. The safe is a thinner small safe but to be expected with a small safe. The lock lever is exactly that, it's just a thin lever which I'm sure is easily to pry open if stolen. The lock itself is a key lock and what I hate is that the key only goes into the lock one way. In the dark or in a rush situation it makes it more difficult to know which way the key is supposed to be. For more context the key goes into the lock both the wrong way and the right way but one unlocks it and the other does not. So overall not a bad small locker, not that secure so I would purchase this is you plan on storing items you dont need be that secure but this does the trick.

I was really hesitant at first due to some reviews and size. Only complaint I have is that it is not as deep as my 10 gun snap on cabinet. What I really liked is that it does bolt to the top of the snap on cabinet, came with predrilled holes and bolts that matched up perfectly. No damage to the cabinet when it arrived and was packed well. It serves its purpose well for my ammo and extra magazines. You do have to realize that these products are not a safe. They do have a pretty good locking system and would be hard to break into if you bolt them down as recommended. If you did not anchor them it would be easy enough to just carry them out and get in to them later. Over all nice product and I am pleased with my purchase. Another thing that I didn't mention before is if you run out of room in one, you can buy another and bolt it to the top of the other one. So it does give you more options.

Sturdy locking cabinet. Great for keeping little prying hands and eyes away from things they shouldn't have.

Fits great on top of my 8 gun cabinet. Has holes to bolt on top of the other. Has holes to bolt into the wall. It's not going to stop a well prepared thief with lots of time on his hands. I drilled through the back for another wall bolt & it went real slow. The steel is stronger than you'd think, it's not thin. I'm guessing an expert would go straight for the lock itself - as opposed to trying to destruct his way in. Anyway - for the price, it's a great safety cabinet to keep kids safe & slow down a crook. This is just the final layer of security you'd need in the home. If you have no alarm system, the cabinet is easy to get to, then you have already lost 2 layers to crooks. Really it's for safety.

Installed this today. Put it atop a fixed shelf in a corner of the closet. Used the lag bolts to secure it to the wall, was able to use one lag bolt on the base next to the side wall, and a bolt on the other side of the base. One quibble: Because of the corner installation, my studs didn't work out to the 16" on-center standard. Fortunately there is an extra hole in the upper back that exactly matched the stud. Would have loved to have another hole below it so I could use 4 lag bolts on the back. Could have "drilled my own" but deemed my installation satisfactory. At some future date, might decide to upgrade the installation bolts to "stove bolts" anchored with steel plates inside the adjacent linen closet.Ordered this box because the key looks to be more pick resistant than most, and the reality seems to have confirmed that. The box is perfectly finished inside and out. The door fits into the recess in the front and there are extra layers of steel supporting the bolt and the area around the door. Packaging for shipment was excellent.This is not a fire-resistant container, but I'll use it to store copies of key parts of critical documents in case an intruder makes off with the fireproof box.

Good cabinet. It fits right on top the green or black 10 gun Stack-on gun cabinets, i.e. GCB-910, GCG-910, GCWB-10-5-DS. That third one says Sentinel on the cabinet instead of Stack-On, but all 3 are the same except for color and printed graphic name.This smaller pistol/ammo cabinet comes in black or green GCG-500 for green color).Two standard military 50 cal ammo cans will fit in perfectly and go in and out easy (with the shelf removed from the cabinet).Laying the two 50 cal cans on their sides with the handles facing forward.By the way, bought this GCB-500 from Amazon and arrived double boxed and free of any scratches or issues, perfect condition :)The three 10 gun cabinets I listed up on the top are the same quality and thickness, with the same type of locks and keys. Colors match. And the pistol cabinets are same width side to side as the tall 10 gun cabinets, but not quite as deep. Makes for an attractive pair.

Excellent product. Tried numerous sources with no luck and Amazon notified me that product was available when I was having trouble finding one. I needed a stack-0n product to fit on top of a stack-on long gun cabinet that I had. Great fit and looks good.

Product was easy to use. Worked properly right out of the box.

Nice and easy to assemble. Just not a fire proof safe. Enough to store guns and ammunition.

Great quality! Lovely item at a great price, and fits nicely on top of my other stack-on 14-gun safe. This is way smaller, and they are still compatible! Also, given the size, this safe holds a great deal of items.Lock operates smoothly and the shelves are great, too.
