affordable/ inside came (edited review)
Just received the product.Overall it looks really well constructed. Fits both my girlfriend and I comfortably. The inside was damaged due to parts being shipped inside the tent which worries how deep the cuts go.Overall decent purchase, unfortunately I was apart of the shipping issue everyone deals with.I was able to reach out to support! They send me a awning at a discounted rate to make up for the shipping error! Very nice team to work with

Great Deal!
Replaced the mattress with memory foam, but absolutely no other complaints. It’s the same tent others sell for hundreds or even more; just a different logo.

Nice unit overall........shippers banged it up, but not the fault of Amazon or makers of the unit
The shippers dented in the roof and scratched it...but the dent popped back out once I punched it from the inside.....it left two small creases and a scratch where it was impacted. This damage did not really effect the looks or make it leak. The construction is really nice and it installs very easy. You can pop it up in three minutes or less and taking it down takes a little more time, as you have to tuck the canopy in, but that's not hard to do.

Holds up in rain and hail
I waited to post my review until I had tested it in the rain. This tent holds up. I did a trip where it was raining really heavy and no leaks. The rain cover really helps a lot. Though the mattress that it comes with is a bit thin, I did buy an air mattress so it helps.I can’t speak on comparisons on this tent compared to the other ones that go for 4x as much. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and have told all the friends to buy it when it comes back in stock.

One Year of Heavy Use and STILL holding up well!
I purchased this Rooftop sleeper in September and have used it extensively. I'm a Nomadic Photographer (The Wandering Tog).Overall the product has been a very good investment, especially for the cost. It's easily raised and lowered and has a nice, heavy build. The design is sound and the construction is quite good. The zippers are of a heavy gauge and the stitching is solid. The upper and lower "shells" are equally well built. It's a mechanical process to raise and lower. Not electric or gas operated which means a bit of strength, but there's little to go wrong. It's quite roomy. I added a thin memory foam pad.It holds up well in wind and rain too.So far I've used it in the PNW, Boise, Utah, Colorado, California and Arizona.A few design elements I'd change...- Larger, more robust locking clips to hold the shells together when lowered.- Metal tipped strapping that fits into the locking clips to keep from fraying with use.- An optional faring/wind deflector to keep the wind from catching under the unit when driving on freeways would be nice But there are some generic ones available for most SUVs (I ended up building my own wind deflector since I have a unique vehicle with a bar light).- A small, plastic closable window on each side to view outside without having to open the two entry ports. That's about it so far. I'll update this review as time goes on...Bottom line... definitely worth what is being charged for it._____________________An Update -I'm now at 1 year owning and using this roof top sleeper. So far it's been great. No significant issues.I did have to seal the lower stitching with with Flew Shield spray to help prevent water seepage in heavy rain.Otherwise I haven't had any issue whatsoever. It's all just a matter of common sense.Since my last review I've also used this tent in Texas, Florida (for a month) and most recently in Georgia. It is very much a conversation starter too...lol.Every place I stop I get people coming up and asking about it.I can now comfortably recommend this product. I've changed my 4 stars to 5.

Roomier than expected!
First things first. Shipped fast... VERY FAST as in was available for delivery 2 business days from purchase and was packaged well.Haven't had a chance to spend the night in the rain in it, but it came with everything needed to mount to crossbars, goes up and closes up much easier than expected. A lot more room for storage when traveling than expected. I will also be mounting this on my Tacoma's ladder rack for mountain biking season.I will likely treat the ripstop cloth with something to add waterproofing of the lower portion and the upper portion with something to repel bugs since I will be using this in GA where we have an amazing amount of mosquitos. Here is a picture before I even pulled the plastic all off.Update: So I don't leave this one on either of my vehicles, I only have out and mounted when I am using it. I have about 2k miles of travel with this one and it rides well. I have been in some storms through it also and it was not impacted by the heavy winds. No water got in either. I will probably put some padding under the mattress as that has been the only thing i wanted to have a little firmer before you get to the hard flooring. It has been very cold when I was using it, so i don't have any summer comparisons yet.

So far, very happy
All parts were there. Haven’t installed or used it yet, that’s this weekend. Pleased with the product.
