Simply wonderful
Like most I saw the film adaption first and always love to then read the book. I have never read anything from this author but now will be seeking out more. Easy to read, couldn’t put it down.I love the story line and was surprised that I loved it more than the film.Yes, definitely would highly recommend this, a little escapism into love and romance in this crazy world. and I will happily read this over and over again!

Fabulous
I loved this story. Liam, a famous singer, returns to his home town for the funeral of his best friend. He is racked with guilt because ten years before he left the town abruptly - dumping the girl he loved and all his friends and had never been in touch with any of them since. He finds out he has a nine year old son and that his girlfriend Josephine had tried desperately to let him know she was pregnant but there was no response. She has battled through a broken heart and is about to get engaged to a doctor- but Liam realises he still loves her .............

Feel good, contemporary romance
Yay! I feel all warm and gooey inside. I love books that do that to me. This was such a feel good contemporary romance. It was a little predictable and standard, but I think that's ok, because it was gorgeous! I do have one issue, and that is Liam's reason for leaving his home town of Beaumont and the love of his life, Josie Preston... I can see where the author was trying to go with that but it was the only weak point in the story for me.'The last thing Betty says to me that day is something I will never forget. "Follow only your dreams, Liam."'However, moving that aside and putting it in a box...I knew I was going to love it when I couldn't put it down and I was sobbing my heart out just a few chapters in. Liam and Josie's close friend, Mason, dies before the story begins, so the reader never meets him, but my God did his death make me cry like a baby. The effect Mason had on his hometown and the people he left behind is profound and a very clever way to draw you in to the book instantly! The other thing that had me gripped was the alternate POV. I love reading both sides of the story. The male POV always fascinates me slightly more, but alternating from chapter to chapter was a brilliant way to keep me turning the pages. I wanted to find out what was going on inside each of their heads and I ended up finishing the whole book in one go, finally turning my light out in the early hours of the morning. Every time I tried to retire to bed, I'd end a chapter and think `Oh, I just want to see what Josie/Liam felt about that scene, I'll read one more chapter'... and we all know how that ends. At the end, of course! But I love a book that can do that to me.So what can I tell you about the characters?God, I felt so sorry for Josie. She did nothing wrong yet she was catapulted into this awful situation where there seemed to be no easy answer and no way to keep everybody happy. I felt for Nick. I felt for Noah... and obviously I felt for Liam. Josie, in my opinion, did everything right. She was both strong and vulnerable at the same time, a devoted mother but a woman with emotions and deep routed desires."I only have eyes for one woman, period ... When I saw you, I knew I had made a mistake. I should have never left or at least come back for you. My life is better with you in it, Josie. I'm not going to do anything to jeopardize that."The surrounding characters were brilliant. I can see how there will be more great books in this series and I can't wait to read those! And then we are left with Liam! *heart flutters* Aaaaw, I heart Liam lots and lots! He is just perfect. A bad boy, tattooed rock star with a burning desire to step into his `Daddy' shoes and spend his life proving his love to `his girl' and his recently discovered son! He is clearly completely infatuated with Josie from the very beginning. I love this. There is nothing sexier than a man that can admit utter devotion to the woman of his dreams. And play guitar! Bonus!'Never will I or have I told fans that I love them, even with something as innocent as this. I've only loved one person in my life and those words are saved for my girl and now my son.'This wasn't particularly steamy. There was a nice dose of chemistry between the characters, some naughty stolen kisses, a lot of building passion and plenty of intense desires voiced internally in each of Josie and Liam's respective monologues. There is one fairly heated sex scene toward the end but nothing graphic. There were some adorable flash backs which really helped set the scene for Josie and Liam's relationship history. You can't help but crave their reunion!"I promise you, I'm done running. I'm still selfish, but only where you and Noah are concerned. I have years of spoiling to make up for and I plan to spend every day of my life making sure you both know how much I love you."In conclusion, this book comes highly recommended by Yours Truly! Read it. Read it now and fall in love with Liam Westbury.By Smitten's Book Blog[...]

An absolute gem of a story.
I loved this story, and as it cost less than a coffee I was delighted!Liam is a rock star, he left his home town 10yrs ago to become the star that he is today but he has deep regrets, he just left and never kept in touch with his parents, his best friends and his childhood sweetheart.Josie thought she had it all 10 years ago, she was a cheer leader and her boyfriend was the high school jock with an upcoming career in the NFL. It was all set, they adored each other, they would marry, have kids and live alongside their best friends forever. Then Liam up and left, leaving Josie pregnant and unable to contact him.Their best friends were Katelyn and Mason, they did live that dream, had beautiful twins, he had that career in the NFL and they were blissfully happy. Now Mason is dead and Liam is coming back for his funeral and to try to make some amends with his past. This is a heart-wrenchingly beautiful story, I just adored Josie, as someone who also found herself alone with a 3 month old baby this story was so emotive. The heartache of not having a choice when your world turns upside down overnight, you just survive by burying all that hurt and betrayal, this book shows this very well and is written in alternate paragraphs from Liam and Josie's perspective.Absolutely loved it.

Great start to a series
I have no idea why I didn't review this book. I've read this book countless times, and listened to the audio version too, and it's easy to see why so many people love this series. For me, Forever My Girl was an unputdownable read, I loved the relationship between the characters, Josie, Katelyn, and Jenna, to me this is what a real friendship is. Then we have the boys....what can I say about them. They are hot as hell and I would not turn any of them down. They are fiercely protective of each other, and wont let anyone try to push themselves into the fold.I will admit that I thought Liam was an ass for abandoning Jenna, but as the story unfolds we get to see what happened, and I did fell sorry for everyone involved having to go through this,Forever My Girl is a very promising start to a new series.

Great start to a series
This novel is a typical, cheesy romance story but I loved every minute of it. Sometimes a girl just needs something romantic and swoon-worthy.The book starts off on a rather sad note, which is why Liam heads back to his hometown, Beaumont, in the first place. But don't worry, the story isn't sad for the entire time. There are a lot of fun and romantic scenes in this story. And when I say romantic scenes, I don't mean anything raunchy. Besides one small barely-descriptive scene, the story is free from anything 18+, which was a nice change. And be prepared for some surprises in the beginning of the story! To be honest, I'm not really sure how I felt about Josie. It's not that I didn't like her but her character wasn't very memorable. To me, she wasn't the most interesting female character to read about.Liam on the other hand... That guy was gold! I may have added another book boyfriend to my list. Liam is funny, sexy, charming, loving, and honest. He also didn't have any alpha-male traits which I was really happy about. He cared about other people's feelings and that was more important to him than getting what he wanted. Without giving too much away, I also enjoyed him being around his friend's kids. It was adorable to watch him interact with them."I watched for you and once I saw you, I knew I was going to end up chasing my girl, waiting for you to turn around and see... the real me and love me for who I am and not what I did to you. I'm standing in front of you, Josie. You just have to turn around."Forever My Girl was a great romantic book and I don't regret reading it at all, but I wished Heidi McLaughlin would've made it a tad more dramatic in the end. However, this novel deserves an amazing 4 stars. I can't wait to read the follow-up, My Unexpected Forever.

100x better than the movie
I will admit I watch the movie first, but didnt finish it one night as I was traveling, so on my travels I purchased the book to read. It is sooooo much better than the movie. I like the book version of Liam way more then the movie. It was slower paced then the movie but made way more sense and the plot/story line was significantly more interesting. I'm actually surprised how different the movie was because so many lovely parts in the book that made me like the main characters were missing in the movie. I enjoyed the movie regardless but the book I loved.

AMAZING!!!
I loved this book. Liam and Josie were meant for each other. This book took me on so rides. One minute i'm laughing the next i'm crying and them sometimes i'm angry. Liam and Josie have true love and i'm so happy that after 10 years they can still rekindle their relationship. I also helps that Noah is such a cutie. I really enjoyed all the side characters as well. They make the storyline even better. I also really enjoyed that this book was told in flashbacks because it gave me an idea of then and now and I could picture those scenes in my head. Such a great book.

Forever My Girl was a beautiful read! Loved second chance love stories! Liam & Josie loved each back in high school, then Liam left to pursue a singing career! 10yrs later his back for his best friend’s funeral also finding out he also left something else behind! Liam's never stop loving Josie, nor has Josie really! Love the love these two have! So looking forward watching the movie now!

Wow!! Fantastic read!!
My rating: 4.5 of 5⭐Don't let the title of this book cause you to think it is some teenage angst story......unfortunately that had been my mistake.....FOR MONTHS!!!Not until the second story of the Beaumont Series came out and THAT title and cover drew me in, as well as a glowing recommendation I read from one of my favorite writers, Toni Aleo, did I go back and pick up this title. Good thing I did, otherwise I would have missed out on an excellent, mature and insightful take on a not unfamiliar trope of a love lost and found again. In this case, as opposed to many, many others that follow this general story idea, the protagonists don't just fall back into each others arms and have a second go at love. No, life has obviously gone on and time and adjustment is needed, feelings need to be examined and damage control done. That doesn't happen overnight. This is not a story where all you see is rainbows and butterflies. It's real, it's complicated and it's painful.....but it's also very beautiful if you stick it out and fight for what you believe is the right thing.NOW I'm ready to tackle your next book, Heidi McLaughlin, although I may need some recovery time for my emotions to reset themselves.

Loved the story line! Hated the foul language!
The story line of this book was great. The filthy language was completely unnecessary. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie version taken from the book. They cleaned it up and changed the story line somewhat. I don't know why the author has to use that kind of language to get their point across. I would have loved to read the following books in the series, but will not be.

Ein must read

Ok; but only sort of.
Even for this genre, the plot was too predictable and highly unbelievable. Moreover, I read a suspiciously similar novel before - but the quality of the language and the storyline and the development of characters was much better then.

Sweet Romance
This is a sweet happily ever after. Josie and Liam are great characters. It's the perfect book to read on a cold snowy day.

Absolutely loved it
This book had it all: it was exceptionally well written, the story was fantastic from beginning to end and i loved the characters. Can't wait to read the next book in the series! If you like hot rock stars then this one's for you.

Hard to believe.
For the first time in my life I have to declare that the movie is far better than the book. The text is badly written, the tale is BORING, and the discourse is unconvincing.
