Our kitchen was set up with the refrigerator right next to our gas stove. And I mean *right* next to it. If we use the burners on that side, the side of the fridge gets really hot.This was a bit too large, but I folded the excess and hung it with extra strong magnets. It works really well. If I'm using the side burners and put my hand under the shield it is quite cool!The shield is also very easy to clean up - I just give it a swipe with Simple Green at the same time I'm cleaning the stovetop.Definitely worth it!

I bought this product to go on the vinyl siding of a house I’m renting for extra protection behind my portable smoker that I keep on the back porch. It has worked perfectly! I noticed that before I hung it up, the siding was kind of brown and thankfully it wiped off easily. I knew if I didn’t put something there to protect it, it would eventually mess up the siding. This has worked perfectly! I have used the smoker several times after hanging this behind it and it has provided great protection. The vinyl is still in great shape!

We have a woodstove right next to our refrigerator (it was literally the only place to put it in our very small house), so this heat shield is key to keeping the fridge from working too hard. The side of the fridge where it is uncovered will be too hot to touch, but underneath, it's as though there is no fire at all. We're buying a second one to fully cover that side of the fridge. It holds on fine with powerful magnets - we tried using the grommets at first, but that left an extra gap that hot air was coming in, so they made it less useful. I imagine they would be helpful in different situations.

This is not only junk, but it's dangerous! It caught fire within the first 2 minutes of being in place and destroyed the wall behind it! Not fireproof at all. Huge fire risk. So angry.

Does what I hoped it did, keeps the heat off the refrigerator. Don’t know why they put the refrigerator next to the oven

The price as good, but didn’t realize it was more like a fabric. Was thinking it was going to be a solid piece of stainless. Will still use it for a while.

In my garage, I have a gas wall heater just like the one in another reviewers pictures. When in use, it would make the nearby wood cabinet and plastic shelf unit scorching hot. I ordered this heat shield mat and mounted it on a piece of pegboard. I cut the board to the size of the mat and then ran zip ties through the holes in the mat and the pegboard. I then propped it next to the heater and found that the pegboard and everything behind it stayed room temperature!!! By using the pegboard, I am able to store it away in the warmer time of the year. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the results.

I feel totally ripped off by this product. It has creases in it and looks flimsy. In their ad it looked like a solid piece behind a barbecue. They also do not offer returns. Don’t get taken in! Do not buy this.

Needed this to increase the thermal coverage between the exhaust and box on my F-150. Fit perfectly and solved the problem of the exhaust becoming to hot in that area of the box as to melt the box liner.

Usato per proteggere la lavastoviglie sottostante il piano a induzione appena installato. Si può ritagliare con un paio di buone forbici, è fatto di un materiale non infiammabile e credo anche non facilmente fondibile. Credo di avere trovato il prodotto ideale per questo utilizzo.
