Overall we are very happy with this system. The picture quality is very good, the night vision is GREAT and I feel a lot safer now. One camera failed but the seller quickly responded to my email and sent me a new one right away.There is a bit of a learning curve using the software and I wish the receiver had more than one USB port so that I could use the mouse and insert a thumb drive...but I learned how to grab video from my phone and that worked out pretty well. I included an entertaining video of a guy driving past our house too fast and spinning out on the slick road so you can see the video quality.

Had this system set up and running in about 30 mins with one camera, and took my time mounting and positioning the other 3 cameras.Pros:Super easy set up.Comes with all the basics to get running.NVR software is phenomenal! Lots of user settings for motion, recording, etc.Cons:Power cords are short. Do yourself a favor and order some extensions.Picture quality is "meh". Dont expect quality video like your cell phone (but hey, look at the price, it's a $200 complete system and not $1000).Other:Pictures are decent enough to identify people, detect movement, and the IR light is pretty darn good (rangewise, maybe 30ft?).2 week update:System is still great, but I upped my rating to 5 stars. The seller saw my review, noted that I commented the cords were too short, and worked with me to get me longer cords to work with my application. Superb customer service from a seller who actually READS reviews and works to improve them!

I am writing this review to try and balance out the 5 stars that this product has. I am a bit reluctant to believe that everyone is this positive on this camera system. I have not had any issues with the basic setup and getting it running. But so far the CamView Cloud App and the Alerts have been really hard to configure and set up. The App does not want to refresh regularly and it is hard to get the playback to work at all.The interface that runs on the NVR to HDMI is not great. Also the local IP Web Interface of the system does not match up well with the local or HDMI out interface. The Web interface is almost un-usable beyond the viewing of the cameras.The big reason I wanted a system was for the remote alerts, realtime view, and playback. All of these are not great to un-usable on this system. The alerts only tell you that a motion was dected, and don't link to the activity. I am running on the Iphone IOS, and have not tried the Android version yet.

Review from one year of use with this product:Initially, product seemed well worth the money based on first use. The night vision and picture quality of the cameras are up to par with other cameras brands, but quality of the cameras seemed to dwindle after about a year's worth of use. My largest complaint is with the reliability of the cameras. There is always some kind of connection issue with these cameras not being able to load up on the mobile app, even within places with a strong wifi connection. My DVR is connected to an ethernet cable from my router so there aren't any issues with that. Not sure what happened...Because this system became so unreliable, i ended up getting another set of cameras, but this time from the ZOSI brand. So far, they've worked great! I haven't experienced any connectivity issues at all and their comparable camera offers two way audio instead of just one way with this camera for about the same price.

Picture is great but the range of this device is greatly exaggerated. I had to move the receiver 15 feet from the cameras to get any kind of real time video and it still sputters or lags a bit, which sucks because it had to me 40 feet away from the tv i use to view it.HELPFUL HINT: I thought I was going to have to run 4 camera cables but.... I got around this problem by running a 40'long hdmi cable from unit to the tv and for control I got a cordless mouse and connected the mouse dongle to a 30' usb cable to get it closer to the mouse. Works great and the recorder can be better hidden

Tech support Update, 7/24/18 I do like the system, but to talk to a human is very difficult, another country and English is too difficult to understand 😞 Tech is willing to help, but not speaking English they were unable to help 😞Amazing system, clear pictures, easy install, it’s everything I expected and more, it picks up every movement, all the features it offers, you can't go wrong. It's so easy to get around to use the feature it offers, I had a small problem with one of the cameras, seller was right on it, I had a new camera within days, seller walked me through it all, seller showed great customer support. I highly recommend this security system to protect your home.

I'd give this system 5 stars based on the video quality and reliability but the motion alarms are holding me back.The system itself is great and combined with the app, I can check on my house from anywhere. It takes a little bit of tech knowledge to navigate the DVR UI but it can be done.Back to the motion sensor - it works but the sensitivity is just too much. I get email alerts literally every 2-3 mins that motion is detected. I have turned the sensitivity to both 0 and 100 to see if it changes but the sensitivity settings literally do nothing.I had it facing the street so cars were setting it off constantly (even with sensitivity at zero). So I used the masking feature to mask off the road completely but it also had zero effect. So I angled the camera down so that the road is completely off camera, set sensitivity to zero, masked off the sidewalk and I was able to cut the alerts down from 2-3 minutes to every 5 minutes. So in summary - useless.It's frustrating because it really is a good system for the money otherwise but the motion sensor is garbage.
