Movo VXR4000R Directional Shotgun Condenser Video Microphone with Shockmount, Low Cut Filter, Foam + Deadcat Windscreens and Carry Case - for DSLR Cameras and Camcorders

I had the chance to try this out this weekend. The sound quality of this microphone is surprisingly good when compared to the internal stereo microphones on my Canon SL-2. I did some recording at a distance of 6 feet with the low-pass filter on, and could not detect any camera noise. I attribute that a lot to the suspension system. The sound was crisp and clear with very acceptable volume. This is an excellent low cost alternative to using the problematic internal microphones. Since I was recording inside I did not use the dead-cat cover so I can't say how much that will attenuate recording quality. So far, however, I am very impressed. This would make an excellent addition to the amature or family videographer.

Great shotgun mic for video, great in windy conditions

Does feel little cheap.I should've researched more but was too excited to purchase my first microphone for nikon d3400.Was all excited and notice the pretty different! Have to order another adapter.Too bad wanted to make a family movie for little cousins and nieces /nephews, but couldn't.Yes, no adapter/cable

Everything was good with the mic but my one problem is that the audio cable pulls out of the camera alot will recording which then messes up my video.

I love this mic been useing. For almost 4 months with my cannon 3ti. I dint want to spend the money for a rode mic this is a great option for ppl on a budget

Sound quality horrible. If it didn’t take so much to return the product and get refund I would’ve done it long ago. Microphone cover shed like a sick cat too. KEEP YOUR MONEY.

This is a pretty good shotgun mic that works in a pinch with minimal hardware and no expertise to use. However, the sound quality isn't the best unless you are very close to the camera. In short, I'm happy I purchased it and it's great for quick setup and short, intimate video recordings, but for larger jobs I wouldn't recommend it.
