I needed to have a spot for a Mac mini to use as a server and this was the right frame to use to be able to fit it into an already tight space.

Used the self tapping screws to quickly connect the mount to the underside of my desk and then connected the fan mount, this feels very strong. Fan is a little loud for my taste so I unplug if I don't have my noise cancelling headphones, but it is a great product. The computer feels very secure.

First off - I’m being nit picky. But there are just a handful of things that I wish had been more carefully crafted. First of all, if you wall mount then your ports must be facing up because this wasn’t engineered in such as way that you can have the ports facing down and still access them. This means my ports are just accumulating dust and debris all day, not to mention it looks ugly. The second thing is that the cable for the fan is so short. I didn’t realize it was intended to be plugged INTO your mini. I absolutely don’t want my hot computer running an after market fan that is supposed to be cooling it 🤔 I wish I could plug in the fan to an outlet but the cable is so short and can’t be swapped out so I have to get an extension which means it’s not being used.These are relatively small things. But they are the little things that make a difference between if the item just sort of works or if it really fits my needs.I’d say it sort of works. It mounts to the wall. But it isn’t attractive looking and you won’t be able to alter that. And it isn’t effective at cooling either. Those were my two biggest desires honestly.

Like not having the Mini on the desk showing. Out of sight but not out of mind due to the fan noise. Not a deal breaker. Have to turn it off when I’m recording.
