Good telescope to start looking at the night sky
This is a fantastic beginner telescope. Easy to set up and easy to use once you’ve got some clear skies. It can be difficult to align the scope using the app, and I’ve had some disconnection issues, but I think that’s my phone’s fault (it keeps disconnecting from scope and switching to home network). The photos are views of the Moon from the 10mm and 25mm eyepiece. I literally put my iPhone on top of the eyepiece and snapped them. They are unedited. Blame the poor focus on my guerilla style photography. I was so focused on wanting to see the Moon I just took some quick snaps and went back to looking! Very happy beginner astronomer!

Stunning quality and ease of use
I've read reviews complaining how WiFi is causing issues for people with Android phones, etc. I bought it anyway, as it was cheaper than competition and I really liked the idea of integrating it with Android app. Frankly, it crossed all my expectations. Optics quality is superb, I had no issues seeing details of the Moon and planets like Jupiter or Saturn. I even got very nice photos of Mars with it! I had 0 issues with WiFi stability either - as long as I remembered to turn off automatic WiFi management in my phone, as that causes WiFi to fallback to 4G connection when phone doesn't detect internet in WiFi network created by telescope. Ergo, this is a phone settings issue and not actual telescope mount problem! Tracking works very well, it's easy to set up too. What they do not mention in most reviews is that you can connect this mount to the home router as well (it doesn't have to be direct connection to mobile device!). In such way you can use Windows app CPWI to command, align etc. the mount. It's a very powerful free app with star maps and! full support for gamepads. It means, I was able to use my xbox gamepad, through that app to actually slewing the telescope very accurately (analogue sticks, with variable speeds using XYAB buttons etc.). Reviews online also do not tell you that you can use mobile powerbank (I use 10k mAh) with this, buying a relatively cheap converter cable that ups voltage from 5V to 12V and has proper plug for this telescope. This works great and telescope is never short on power, working better than on AA batteries for me. To summarise, this is powerful and very portable telescope. It's small, lightweight, mount and stand are good enough for the size and the price (especially on sale now and then) is also fair. I like it more than the ones with physical remote that I had before, for sure. Especially with the gamepad in use, which gives me very precise control when I need that.

Decent optics let down by a hopeless wi fi driven mount system. Celestron you should be ashamed.
This is not fit for purpose. The good bits first. Well constructed telescope tube with good optics and crystal clear focus. This is let down by the fact the whole system is controlled over a wi-fi connection which is hopeless and drops every 10 seconds. Tried it on multiple devices and on the laptop software. They all do the same. I am an it engineer so i do know what im talking about when it comes to wireless communications. The interface is truly rubbish. What is worse is as the signal drops it continues to drive the motor. Only way to stop this is pull the power before the scope collides with the mount. Totally crazy there is no slew stop as well. Please please please don't waste your money on this scope. Instead opt for one which as the hand controller. Returning to supplier for full refund as no response from Celestron customer support either. I now have a really disappointed child who saved hard for this scope Let down by a crappy company and their crappy product.

First telescope we own, We are very happy
This is the first telescope I’ve ever owned, it is pretty easy to set up. I still haven’t got the auto focus to work, but to be honest I haven’t tried very hard to do so. I find it easier to just move it around manually. There’s a little red dot sight that makes that easy. The first thing I pointed to was Jupiter and as I saw some clear next to Jupiter thought it wasn’t working until I realized it was full of Jupiter‘s moons, after that we turn to saturnAnd we could see straight through the ring. We are very happy with our purchase, the Wi-Fi is not the best. I had to switch the house off, and I live in an area where there is far between the houses, as long as the Wi-Fi in the house is switched off it works well.

Brilliant scope for back yard astronomy
I’ve had my eye on this telescope for sometime. Particularly appealing was it’s motorised mount, it’s compact size and the SkyPortal App that drives the whole lot. I haven’t been disappointed. My seven year old and I have been out every clear night, since we bought it, star, moon and planet spotting. The moons craters are fantastically clear. Venus appears as a bright orb. The Orion Nebula is a well defined white cloud. Although Jupiter and Saturn are yet to be seen (wrong time of year), I think they’ll be nicely visible - rings on Saturn, red dot on Jupiter etc. A few people on here complained about the WiFi signal (connecting your phone to the motorised mount) continuously dropped out. I haven’t had this problem. When connecting your phone I suggest going into you devices settings and select the scopes WiFi network (Celestron whatever..) before attempting to connect via the App. Aligning the scope is then fine provided that you go into App’s settings and select “manual align”. This avoids the scope doing all sorts of weird things during the alignment process. It’s easy to manual align - all you have to do is steer the scope to a total of three known stars, moon, planets and then you’re done. After that you just tap on the celestial object you want to see and the telescope moves automatically to it. Brilliant! Have fun all. Well worth the money.

The Astro fi 130 is exactly what I had hoped for. Assembly was quite easy and the set up (aligning it etc…) was easy with a little practice (as the instructions actually say). The quality of the view is really amazing and, once setup, finding and tracking stars, planets etc.. is simple using the app. I have to mention the spectacularly GREAT customer service provided by Rod. I was missing a part and he solved the problem quickly and shipped it to me very quickly. My whole experience with this product is wonderful.

Fácil de usar y de alinear. Aconsejo usar un ordenador para conectar vía wifi. El móvil pierde con facilidad la conexión. Es un problema de los móviles, no del equipo.

great telescope, easy to use, it has wifi access point, you can connect your tablet or mobile to it run via free planetarium app. Just click on a planet or start and telescope automatically point on it.
