VAMPIRE DIARIES, THE:S2 (DVD/S) [2011]

This is far better than the first series which to be honest played out as every teen romance cliche you could imagine . In this second series I actually like Katherine she is my type of nasty "person of questionable birth" but she is sooooo sexy with it she can make me her slave any day she wants oooohhh she is so deliciously gorgeous. There are some characters in this I would have offed but for some reason they are kept alive with no come back for the things they have done!! make you wonder where the justice is really but they can't kill everyone as the series would be ended by the end of the second series. As with reviews i post no spoilers here but just one real nag is the amount of drinking there is glad it's fake as they drink so much they would have all been in rehab at the end of every shoot. if it was real and I did not think Vampires could drink anything but blood anyway Oh well,live and learn I suppose.Buy this from another seller as it's way cheaper and just sit back and enjoy another 22 episodes of a really good series

A thoroughly enjoyable follow up to the original series. There are many new characters and plot twists introduced. Ultimately, the series works if you can suspend your disbelief, but over time, you really come to care about the characters and what happens to them. The plot is fastpaced and the introduction of other mythic creatures in this season makes it more complex but also fresh. Obviously, the burning desire that runs through the three main characters is what keeps it dynamic and fresh. A great series, with great writers and acting. Have just started watching the third season!

This series is absolutely full of twists and turns. At the end of each episode the characters are usually in a completely different situation from the start. It seems to be common in drama series nowadays to have a lot of filler, so that the plot moves quite slowly. This is not the case for TVD series 2, it moves really really fast and a lot happens! As a comparison I can tell you that I was watching 24 season 2 at the same time as this season; I found the Vampire Diaries gripped me more, even though its genre would probably not be described as a thriller (i'd call it supernatural romance).On the topic of romance, that side of it is also very good fun. The characters are all ridiculously good looking brooding male (and female) model types, and there is some great chemistry between the various pairings. The character of Damon is particularly compelling as the tortured bad guy who cares deep down.I very much enjoyed the first series of TVD, but I liked this one even better!

Series 2 of the Vampire diaries is by far better than the first.We now know the secret of mystic falls but there are many more secrets to come!The first series for me was great but unlike the second series it seemed to move passed teenage problems to full blown dilemas. It is a much more compelling plot, rather than focussing on teenage love other factors are involved.If you loved the first series then you will enjoy the second series so much more! We are settled into the basics from the first series so things now get a lot more complicated - for the characters- and it gets far more exciting.I recommend this series for fellow vampire lovers and suckers for a compelling and intense story. (Plus hot and awesome characters hehe)

I think season one was better than this one because it was new and fresh, this season is good but to much mythology in it, but it still stands to be much better that twilight even though this is a tv series mainly becauseA) Nina, Ian and Paul are very good at acting unlike the twilight castB) Keeps you roped in and there is never a bad episode or bit of actingC) special effects are so much betterMy conclusion buy this and not the waste of time twilight series :)Sorry about my reference to twilight but is was the firts thing that came to my head

this is a good programme tho if you get it because you loved the books you will be disappointed as its nothing hardly to do with the story in the books. except for the name of the characters , what happens to Caroline is nothing at all to do with the book story.. Damon is brill and Stefan is serious and the double character of Katherine and Ellena are good to. it is good but if you expect it to be like the book it isn't.

I really liked The Vampire Diaries when it started out, but by the end of this season I got so bored with the constant dead/not dead and actually killing characters that went on. If they keep it up I can't imagine they'll be anyone left for season 4. Elijah was cool, Klaus was really annoying though. Annoying enough to make me wander off in the middle of episodes, which doesn't bode well for season 3.
