My husband wore throughout a month long trip to Vietnam and it held up great. Always looked good and he said very comfortable. Was easy to pack and very lightweight yet provided sufficient sun protection. Color was pretty neutral that he ordered. Chin strap kept it in place on several windy days so that was a bonus.

This hat is the best I have found for hiking and I hate hats. It is lightweight has great adjustability, does not fly off in moderate winds. Most importantly it keeps my face from getting burned. You can't tell in this picture, but it does cover my nose 100% and I can still breathe very well. Love it!

Technically, I would actually like to give this 4 1/2 stars but since that's not an option, I'm giving this a solid 4 stars.Everything about it is perfect except for the color.First with the negative: I ordered the khaki expecting it to be khaki colored as shown in the listing photo. Instead, it's actually a mustard-y gold/yellow color. Not completely unappealing, but definitely not close to khaki. Is it worth returning and taking a chance on ordering another color? Nah, but I am disappointed that it's not the neutral khaki color as I expected.The positives:- the adjustable bungee allows this to fit me and my husband comfortably- as some have mentioned, this comes folded in half in a very flat package. There is a strong and definite crease in it that comes out and relaxes if you massage and flatten it out.- husband takes this to the beach with him when he walks the shore then goes for a swim. When he swims, he rolls this in his towel and sticks it up in the fork of a tree. It rolls up in the towel easily and when he takes it out, it pops back into shape. Unless you purposely crease it, it doesn't bend or crease at all.- we haven't actually thrown it in the wash yet, but it did blow into the ocean once. My husband retrieved it, popped it on his head, then showered in the outside shower while still wearing it. He kept it on, it dried while he was wearing it and the shape was not affected at all.- on the topic of drying well, the fabric is lightweight and dries extremely quickly. The brim is thicker, so that part takes a bit longer, but the crown is just a single layer of fabric that dries in an instant.- the chin strap is super handy, not only for keeping it from blowing off, but it also makes it easy to hang on a hook right at the back door.Overall, very pleased. We may just take a chance and order the lighter beige color to see if that's closer to khaki. At this price, it's definitely worth a shot.

... the price was so low I would have kept it, flimsy as it is, but I ordered beige and received pink, so back it went. Probably okay for older folks on a super tight budget in need of something to shade them from the sun while gardening or something, so I added a star for that possibility.It isn't avery good hat aesthetically, BUT it is easy on the head so I added a second star for a total of three at best imo.Addendum. I received notification from Amazon today (7/19/23) thanking me for my review dated 7/19/23.Thing is I reviewed this months ago. Ironically just today a solicitor wearing a hat just like this one "just happened to be in the neighborhood" selling window installations.One such window has been receiving a lot of attention lately, (think gardening). Someone has taken it upon their self to trim the rose bushes to a point of over trimming them.Quite frankly, it looks as though someone is trying to gain access to the inside of my home.I say this because I didn't hire anyone to do work in my yard, but they seem to stop by to tend to the rose bush OBSTRUCTING THE WINDOW some when I am not at home.Las Vegas is such a connected place. There I was thinking nobody likes me. Now I'm learning that a few people like me so much they want to take over my identity altogether. They want to BE me.Holy cow! Isn't that suhum? Whew. What a co-inky-dink.They're going to get caught. Thanks Amazon.

This very wide brim, lightweight sun hat is perfect for my outdoor activities. I try to minimize my face and neck sun exposure due to melanoma running in the family.The hat fits perfectly and securely with the xhin strap in place. There are no head adjustments of any kind. The brim resists wind induced bending but is light enough to flex at high wind speeds.The crown is vented allowing cooling air into the hat.To be honest, you do look like a bit of a nerd wearing this hat. The question you must answer is whether feeling a bit nerdish is a reasonable price for melanoma avoidance!

Perfect fit. Great ventilation in the top. Seems durable. Great quality. This is exactly what I wanted to keep the sun off of my head and neck when out getting my yard work done. Thanks!
