Really impressed by this thing. It says it's die-cast metal, but there's still a lot of plastic. I had to use a magnet to see what's metal and what's not. The plastic parts are solid enough that it's hard to tell. But honestly, I don't know ow long it will hold up to my three-year-old nephew. He'll love it, but I doubt it will survive a good fall or a drop (or a throw! LOL) I guess we'll see.The first things that I noticed when I got it out of the box were the tires. They feel like rubber! They have an off-road like tread that even makes them "hum" a little on the right surface! The attention to detail on the design is really nice, too.For the reviewers that says it's smaller than they expected, here's a tip. It's 1:32 scale - the box says 1:28 but the listing says 1:32. (1:28 is bigger than 1:32 BTW) That means 1" = 2'-8". The truck is 7 inches long, which would equate to an 18'-8" long truck, so it's just about right as advertised.It's difficult to find a well-made toy, but this looks like a winner to me. My wife asked why I didn't order one for me. She didn't have to ask twice! Ordered!

Three year old grandson didn't want to put it down to open all his other presents! He wanted to sleep with it (sorry, no), and asked for it as soon as he woke up. All the doors open, so he can tell us which seat we're all sitting in, and the hood opens to fix it. He loves to pretend fixing things! The lights and motor sounds are a special extra. I'm so happy I spent the money.

I like the notes at this site, the truck DOES require batteries to make the lights and noise when you open the truck door. It comes with batteries inside, BUT cannot find replacements! The car can move without batteries, however.

Birthday present

My seven year old loves this truck. I bought it for Christmas and he still plays with it regularly 2 months later. The sounds, lights, doors and different things it does keeps him entertained. It seems to be well made.

My son absolutely loves this truck!! He loves the sounds and loves opening the doors a tailgate! He usually breaks toys pretty quick cuz he is hard on stuff and some toys are just made cheaper, but not this truck!
