The Hawkins Waghariyo (Tadka Pan) looks exactly like the image–very thick and quite large. It’s extremely useful and easy to handle. There's no support to hold it, but that’s not a problem for me. Because during tadka, I usually place a small dibba or vaati under the handle, or simply hold it by hand. Overall, great value for money. Thank you, Amazon, for the prompt delivery! 😊

Great size and safe for large batches or tadka. Evenly distributes heat and cooks evenly. heavy duty. Definitely heavier than 1.5 cup pan but better. Good value for money. Though they only give 5 year warranty but it’s gonna last lifetime. Better than any HexClad

Heavy bottomed and does the job, but I wish that it had the indentation to hold it steady on the stove while adding spices.

Good size but it doesn’t stay stable on the stove.

It is a very well made Tadka Pan - thick Triply with a pouring lip so the oil/ghee doesn't spill. But, unless you have a tri-ring gas burner - it takes more time to heat on the regular sealed gas burners that are not too close to the grates. I haven't tried it on induction or other electric stoves. Also to balance the pan you have to use a inverted steel katori or something similar so it stays flat. if the end of the handle was bent so that the handle rests on the stove, it would have been better I think. But still I like this pan as it is thick & easy to pour the Tadka. Hawkins is a good brand !!
