Brilliant umbrella
I purchased one of these umbrellas years ago and its still fantastic. When my gfs regular umbrella broke I simply had to get another of these to replace it. Its compact, sturdy and works really well in windy weather too.

TOTES USELESS - Flawed design - breaks in even moderate wind
My problem/experience is exactly the same as the other 1 star reviews - so if you are lucky enough to read this before buying - TAKE HEED!The umbrella has a fundamental design flaw - there are no vents so the wind catches inside the canopy and can't escape. It drags you around and eventually forces the umbrella inside out, breaking and buckling the joints so it no longer opens or closes properly (see pics). Literally I used this no more than 5 times - even in light wind it catches and pulls and soon enough it flipped inside out and broke. It looks great and is made of good materials but it simply has a huge design flaw! Think Aston Martin with square wheels.Totes Useless!

Only used it once so far. It’s a little heavy and won’t go in a handbag, but it feels very strong and love the open close button. Can tell it’s very good quality and hopefully will see me through some currently very windy wet weather.

Solid construction
While we have yet to test this in stronger winds it feels solid due to the steel framework being thicker.

Hi, i bought this umbrella after watching the video on Totes own website, the video shows this umbrella to be very strong, and quite robust! ive used it about three times so far, so i cant be `complete` with my review , but i can say that the umbrella has a good solid feel to it, it opens effortlessly, and closes easily when you want to close it!, money well spent so far!, the one touch open and close is a real good feature, especially when your holding a bag in one hand!, i always let it dry fully before storing it, and it fits in my ruck sack!
