Just what I'd hoped for.
Delivery swift as usual through Amazon, was slightly unsure about this item as it is advertised as self-powered, where others all require a power cable. But since I was equally unsure whether my Dell would allow an extra power link without a lot of fiddling about, I thought it worthy a try.As it has only just gone in, it is too early to comment on longevity, but installation was easy and exactly as expected - one system restart to settle the software driver (from windows itself) and it's running. Essentially plug-and-play - Windows 10 64bit.

A Lifesaver
I ended up purchasing this as a solution to an issue I had with my motherboard. I have an ASUS ROG Maximus 5 Extreme. However, over several years of constant use, quite a lot of the USB ports do not grip the cables and this causes a constant disconnect issue. This can be severely annoying as my headset has a wireless USB adapter. (A constant and repetitive loss of sound is extremely annoying)The reason I bought this over other PCI-E to USB adapters is the black PCB (So it's hard to see) and how the power is retrieved from the PCI-E slot. This means I don't need to route a Molex or SATA power cable to the unit. This is probably more important to me than others because I have a glass side panel on the PC. If you had a solid side panel on your case, this shouldn't be an issue.Installation was pain free for me. Just unscrew the PCI expansion cover and slot it in. I didn't require drivers on my OS (Windows 10 Pro x64 V.1709) However, a CD with the drivers is included in the box.

Easy installed, drivers for Windows 7 included on disc, worked straight away having installed the correct drivers from the discNow I have 4 extra USB 3.0 orts on the computer. was having trougle with an external usb hubCan thoroughly recommend without any hesitation

USB 3.0 PCI extension card
Great piece of kit. Fitted in seconds and works perfectly. Can connect USB 1 and 2 peripherals to this card and it all works. I've a USB 3 external hard drive and that was recognised immediatley with faultless data transfer ! Excellent product...5 stars!!

WOn't work x99
This card just won't work, i have tried in multiple computers, and multiple motherboard with different chipset's, and with no luck. i can see it powers my USB devices, but there is no data, usb flashdrive light up, but is not seen in windows (even though it is shown when i use normal USB ports)I really can't wrap my head around this, it just won't work.

Easy to install and drivers that work! Windows 10 automatically set it up. Other cards have not be quite so successful, due to driver installation problems.
