can you be charging the device and at the same time have your phone plugged in to be receiving a charge?

Mine arrived today (late Jan, 2022) and has been charging with a 12watt (aka 2.1 amp, 5.1 volt) iPad compatible charger for about 4 hours. It’s at 3 lights and still charging. Just plugged an iPad into the 2.1 amp output while the device was still charging. The iPad beeped and shows it is also charging. Since both the iPad and the battery pack need 2.1 amps to charge at the highest speed, I don’t know if using it this way is extending the time needed to charge either one (or both). Probably not the best way to use it. But I can confirm that it does work in a pinch.

Can you take it in the plane as a carryon?

Yes, you can take it on a plane in your carry on luggage. It’s capacity of 28.5 watt-hours is way below the 100 watt-hour limit. However, you can NOT put it in your checked bags! The warning on the Amazon packaging prohibits SHIPPING it on passenger airlines. Shipped passenger airline packages go in the belly of the plane just like checked bags. Carry on is no problem.

Does a phone or ipad charge to a full 100% when used?

My iphone 6 is charged 100%. I don’t use an Ipad so will not know. It charges fast too. I really love it. But I must say that I just bought it. Less than a month, so I can’t vouch for a long run.
