Got this after looking specifically for an outdoor rated heater designed for heating around outdoor dining arrangements. Firepits are nice, but they lose a lot of heat and energy to the air and just aren't well suited to this kind of scenario, so I was glad to find this. Heats your legs nicely but it's true that you'll need to find the sweet spot for how much heat you actually want based on the current temp. I find it plenty adequate, warming the rest of you as your blood circulates. While it somewhat depends on how cold it is, you'll probably still wish to wear a jacket if it's cold enough to turn this on.

This heater is just what we needed this chilly winter! We like to sit on our patio in beautiful Colorado but needed something to warm us up. Hence finding this little jewel. It was packaged well and arrived quickly.The great thing about this heater is that you can start to use it right away. It’s the perfect height standing below the patio table, reflecting heat in two directions. Wish the cord was just a bit longer, though.

This heater is great! Exactly what is described - PERFECT for decks, patios and three-season porches. Gives off plenty of heat to keep things comfortable without the risk of burns! It's amazing to be so close to the heating element and not get singed. Put this under a patio table and it will keep you cozy on chilly days! We plugged it in and it fired up right away - no issues or concerns. Also, photo included of our cat who safely snuggled right up to the heater and loves it! Great value for the price.

This product is great! This unit is used to heat your core temperature, not the space around you. It is perfect for night when it is about 65-70 degrees and the sun goes down. The safe to touch feature is ESSENTIAL for anyone that has kids. We put 2 under our outdoor dining table and we eat outside all the time. Great investment if you like to relax on your patio.

Perfect on our cabin balcony. Warms your legs and your warm blood warms your whole body. If you are in the snow you still wear your parka but you are all toasty inside.

Does a good job of heating... But the heating element is very bright, you won't want it right in front of you. And it shuts off if it's moved even 1 inch and won't come back on for awhile. (Can't say exactly how long, but it's at least 10 minutes. You have to keep switching it off and on 'til it comes on.)

Heater did not work when received. Had to return the item.

While this unit looks great, it does not generate sufficient heat, even up close, to be much of a difference so proceeded to return it. No response from the seller after a couple of attempts, so contacted Amazon who was amazing and took care of everything.

Provides a lot of heat when placed close, but heater is safe and not too hot to pick up and move

This is a great heater. one button, no hassle, light and effective

Not sure why they call it "eco-friendly"--meaningless term!
