Powerful and easy cleaning to restore my wood burner
This little tub is amazing. My wood burner is old and came with the house, the previous owners did little maintenance on it. After one coating of this the wood burner looks brand new again. It is so effective I now have a clean, completely matt black finish now all over. No more off white ash covering hinges etc. So easy to just wipe on with a small sponge, I cant believe the difference it has made. And i've used so little of tub its excellent value for money, it will last me a long time.

It’s black.
Well the first thing to know is that it’s definitely black, black as a coal hole, if you’re of an age to remember such things. Will it stay black once you start using the wood burner ? At this moment in time I haven’t a clue as it’s not cold enough for me to want a fire but in relation to improving the look of my wood burner it’s a definite yes from me. Only had my fire for six months and only four months of use had taken the black out of the cast iron. This stuff has definitely put it back and it’s looking like new again so the quality seems to be there. It took very little of the product on a bit of sponge to cover a great deal of metal so I think it ticks the value for money box, it also took very little effort to apply but wear rubber gloves to protect your hands and avoid touching it in any way for a good twenty minutes to allow it to completely dry. I’ll be honest I don’t expect it to last that long once fires are lit and the heat does its thing but as it’s so easy and economical to use I don’t think it’s a major problem. I’m happy enough with the results and the amount needed to achieve them so the jobs a good un.

Great product, poor spray pump
The product itself works well to bring up the stove, however the spray pump broke on second use. Now have to tip the liquid onto a microfibre cloth and rub it in, Inconvenient but means you use more than you would with a spray!

Nice black gel
Good overall, however it needs to be applied a couple of times to the stove to ensure complete coverage. The jar lid was open and some spilled out, due to flimsy jar materials used to package this item. The black gel like substance smoothed on easily and once rubbed into the metalwork it looked like new.Regular applications will be needed as the stove will be used constantly throughout the winter.Rub the gel into the metalwork and 'buff' to enhance coverage.I would be this product again, provided it had a more substantial jar and packaging.

Restores wood burners to nearly new condition
I wasn’t sure about buying this after reading some negative reviews but with some persistence this has worked so well. It says one coat brings instant results on the tin which it does to a limited effect but if you apply several coats you will get a fantastic result. It is really easy to apply but would advise to wear gloves as quite messy. It looks a little patchy after one or two coats but I have now applied 5 coats and my stove really does look like new. We were thinking of buying a new wood burner so the few pounds we paid on this stove restorer has saved us several hundred. Although the jar is small it goes a long way so I am expecting it to last a couple of years .
