Dialectical Behavior Therapy with Suicidal Adolescents

This book is a great adjunct to anyone interested in DBT. Not that it should be used instead of Marsha's original, but this one could be considered more of a condensed and easier to read version. The book itself is very well written to the point that I felt compelled to keep reading. The therapy itself is very similar to the regular DBT protocol with the major difference being the inclusion of family. I think this book does a good job at explaining and showing how those small differences make a major impact into the therapy itself. Highly recommended.

This book offers insight that is very important for parents raising a teen who struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts. It is based on very extensive experience treating adolescents. It is very well written and easy to understand. It offers insights that can help the entire family. I strongly recommend dialectical behavioral therapy; it saved our son.

This book is very informative. As a school psychologist it helps me understand these aspects of therapy so I can be aware of them in my own practice.

Informative text extending Marsha Linehan's DBT for adults to adolescents. It is not an easy read but worth it.

This is a really great book. I am still reading it; however, the information that is provided for treatment w/my clients has been phenomenal. I am looking forward to implementing the strategies and collaborating w/my colleagues to do critical research to move this psychotherapy treatment forward.

Very good book with lots of tips for doing group as well as individual. I love the group exercises in the appendix.
