Excellent soil for your first/young Bonsai
Excellent, a nice bonsai soil mix for my Ficus Ginseng. No bugs and a good mixture ratio. Will happily use again in future for new pottings and young Bonsai.Update: After over a week my Ficus is growing nicely, plenty of new buds!

Fantastic Bonsai Soil
I used this on a ficus ginseng bonsai which was rapidly losing its leaves. I figured it didn't like the soil it was in and a repot would probably save it, when I took the tree out of its current soil it had roots that measured about 2 inches, most of them had rotted away. I then used this mixture to repot the bonsai and within a year the tree has not only regrown all its leaves but has also massive root growth. The tree has never looked better and I'll always use this mix going forward. I do believe theres a lot to be said about using akadama, I'm no bonsai expert but tree seem to do much better in well drained soil. I firmly believe this mix holds thje right amount of water for the tree and allows all the excess to drain off, which is far better for the tree if like me your a bit over generous with the water :-)

just soil with a bit of pumice or whatever it is
Description states the below ratio:One third Akadama - Japanese speciality bonsai soilOne third Kyodama - aiding drainage and soil structureOne third John Innes No.3 - Recommend by bonsai expertsIn reality I got a bag with mostly planting soil (50% at least) and no akadama (most expensive ingredient of the mix). Would attach the image but it looks like this function is disabled. Basically the mix looks nothing like the image advertised. My advice, just buy the ingredients you need separately and mix your own. 1 star

Great and easy to use
I separated out the mix for video use, the materials are equally mixed in *as seen in photo*. I used it up with no waste, perfect for repotting in the best quantity. Thank you
