Tough to manage large sheets of plywood on a table saw. This lead me to looking at track saws and with several options on the market, it can be a though choice - just buy one!This has made my life so much safer & easier. Using a large 2' thick sheet of foam insulation as my base I can cut plywood safely & easily. I usually use this to rough my pieces & finish on table saw when precision matters otherwise it can cut to finish for rough in projects. You could use for cut to finish I just choose not to .The saw is well built and has good features that are easy to use - Depth setting, dust hose connection. The batteries do not get in the way at all. Lining up the track is simple but make some test cuts BEFORe you start using it regularly. It's very simple to align and make your cuts. Much better than a table saw.Track - Track is simple to use. I did buy an additional track to make the full 8ft cut on plywood. Connecting the sections is simple but a little jenky with the thin steel support bars &w/set screws - Its works and holds tight. Just be careful when tightening the screws as the track is aluminum and you can dent it.Case , hard plastic, durable, can stack on each other much like other brands. The clips to connect are the clips to lock as well which are a bit fidgety to work with though do hold. Nothing special but Im not one who needs cases.Cut down 30 sheets of plywood prior to review and zero issues. Batteries last a long time. I found using a small shop vac next to you while you cut make cutting clean and minimal dust easy. I was pleased enough to purchase additional Makita tools and now have 1 battery system for All. It's awesome. (Drills, Lawnmower, Trimmer, recripocating saw, grinder, router, oscillating multi tool). 1 dual charger on the wall and the same battery across keeping it simple.Overall I am very pleased with this product. Many get caught up on Makita/Dewalt/Milwaukee/Bosch/Festool.......... whatever the brand. Forget the brand name thought process and look at the features to cost for how YOU will use the tool & can afford. All the big names build quality tools today though built for use & use varies. Makita is a good quality tool.The other reason I chose this saw is I have an old Makita 6095 battery drill that still works - over 20 years old.

I have been wanting to buy this saw for along time. I had the corded one and returned it for the cordless, it seems to cut just as well as the corded one and is very accurate. This is now my new goto, super easy to setup and attach additional rails ( you will need to purchase the extensions if you want to add additional rails.

After using this I hardly use my table saw anymore. It's so covenant and easy to use and cuts baltic like butter
