T&G pepper grinder.
I have been using a T&G salt grinder for some years now and have found it to work beautifully. When my pepper grinder packed up I bought this grinder to replace it. Without a doubt it is by far the best grinder I’ve ever owned. I like my pepper coarse and the adjustment on the bottom of the grinder is easy to use although I do get through a lot of peppercorns! It’s easy to hold and looks good too. Like my salt grinder I expect it will last a long time. I have no hesitation in recommending this make and model. It’s perfection personified.

Perfect Mills
I've bought two pairs of Apollo mills now, one for my mother as a gift and, after being so impressed by them, one for myself. Firstly the mills are great to look at. All Stainless Steel, they stand out in any kitchen. They're also quite large, so hold a lot of product before needing to be refilled. They're very easy to use - the whole top half of the mill turns, meaning you don't have to struggle with a fiddly, small handle. They also have no spindle so you just pop the top off and pour in your product - very easy to fill up. Not a clue how they work without a spindle, but that's for someone else to worry about! The mechanism itself comes with a large number of settings, from quite coarse to fine, and no matter which I set it to the flow on each turn is very impressive, meaning only a few turns is necessary. These mills are quite expensive compared to some you can get, but they exude quality, deliver fantastically well, are incredibly easy to use, and with a lifetime guarantee I'm banking on never needing to buy another set of mills for myself again. My only gripe is that it's not particularly easy to tell the difference between Salt and Pepper, because it's only written in relatively small writing on the top. Still, this adds to the classy look I suppose, so it's not a huge issue.

Best mill on the market
I'm a big fan of the Apollo, but they don't last forever. The guarantee is a bit sneaky because it applies only to the actual ceramic grinding section itself, not to the parts attached to that, and this is where there can be problems. After about 3 years of daily use, a plastic ring on the bottom fell out and dumped a whole load of pepper onto the food. However, I manged to fix this. The problem is caused by pepper building up behind the ring. If you carefully unscrew the grey knob - holding the mill upside down so that a spring inside doesn't fall out, you can service the mill, cleaning out the build-up of pepper, screwing back the grey knob, and snapping the ring back into place. Now after 4 years of daily use I've had a more serious problem with the acrylic top section failing to engage with the grinder mechanism. Have managed to mend this too, but wonder how long before it happens again. Even so, I still find this the best pepper mill on the market. Perhaps I should also consider becoming a professional peppermill engineer!

Worth the money. Highly recommend.
I got tired of the salt and pepper grinders I had just bought as they didn't work too well, a pain to unscrew/rescrew to refil, and no even sprinkle.. and a lot of work to get out the salt and pepper. I bought this and the salt grinder, and wish I'd bought them years ago. Pros Firstly, it is very easy to fill, pop off the little cap at the top and fill, no screw-pole thing in the middle, just fill it up and pop the cap back on. Easy. I fiddled with the grinding settings at the bottom, easy and works as it says. Tighten the screw cap for smaller granules. Delivers a smooth, steady stream of pepper. I made steak au poivre and got the size of the pepper just right. Easy. Took less time to get the pepper out, and cover the steak evenly. They look nice too, especially if your kitchen has stainless steel colours for your hob, oven, etc. Cons: The matching salt grinder looks identical except for the little label on the top, so a pain to grab the right one. If you need reading glasses - well you might have to put them on. A nice big P or S on the side would have been nice... Also, I can't see a difference between the salt and pepper grinder, I think internal grinders are exactly same. Only the label is different. Note. The salt one works just as well as the pepper mill. I think the reason other reviews say the salt one doesn't work as well might be because of the salt they put in (e.g., the size of the sea salt bits) and the setting on the grinder needs to be slightly tighter to grind the smaller bits of salt as pepper corns are much larger. Tip. I would buy the stainless stain and acrylic one instead, so you see the pepper and salt on the top half through the acrylic. Jan 2016 Update Dropped it onto tile floor and it came apart in two halves and does not go back together. Contacted T&G Woodware by email and they agreed to fix it if I paid the postage (£2.80 to them) and cost to fix of £5.00 (which includes postage back to me) because it was past the return date.

seems worth the money and I must say it works brilliantly. There are three great things about it
I'm one of those people referred to in the video who have owned scores of unsatisfactory pepper mills over the years. This one seemed expensive so I was hesitant to buy it. In the end I was swayed by the video, largely positive reviews and the fact it is made out of stainless steel instead of perspex that has always shattered on other mills I've bought. The CrushGrind feels very well made, seems worth the money and I must say it works brilliantly. There are three great things about it. Firstly it is much easier to fill than the type that has a central spindle. Secondly you get loads of pepper per twist compared with anything else I've used. Thirdly the way you can adjust the coarseness of the grind is fantastic. All the other mills I've ever owned have packed in due to the spindle or the body of the mill itself breaking rather than the grinding mechanism failing (the only part that is usually guaranteed). Time will tell if the product lasts as long as the high build quality suggests.

I have cooked professionally for 15 years, now just for fun. I have had several mills over the years but was always disappointed in quality, started using battery operated ones, which are junk. This thing is built like a tank, elegant looking, and the best mill I have ever used/owned. I have had this for over a year now, and bought another for a friend. Its easy to fill, unlike others, the grind isnt the most exact, and if used to grind salt, doesnt do that too great. I bought 2 one for s/p, because the salt model was a lot more, not sure why. By far the best grinder, highest quality out there, and a life time warranty to boot

Love, love, love this grinder. Makes a nice dust of salt. Seems to be well built - solid. The ceramic grinder should be key for longevity. I just tossed a grinder with a PLASTIC grinder - basically - over so many years it wore out - making it useless. The ceramic grinding wheel is genius - and holds a fair bit of salt.
