Wile I know most reviews will be mustang as this shifter made for a ford t5 I got this because the price wad rite and I had planned to modify it to fit My gm transmission after a few hours of work we now have a good budget short thow for my gm t5 to go in my nissan hardbody ls swap and shift pattern is super tight so reather u are buying for a ford t5 or like me looked for a option for a short thow for a gm t5 without spending 200 plus this is a good option

It’s cheap but doesn’t feel cheap. For a short-throw it mainly feels like it shortens the throw to 1-2-5, which for a 94-04 mustang is a big deal, doesn’t feel like I’m driving a manual ford ranger anymore, the engagement on the gears is 100% better than stock, and I haven’t missed a shift with it after about a week, whereas before I was missing 3rd every other day, reverse is still hard to engage but I think that’s the gearing gate fault on the mustang engineering side, overall this is absolutely a bang for buck deal, would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap shifter mod

So for a cheap short throw shifter I don’t see how you can go wrong with this. I’ve had so many others that cost well over $150.00 and they felt no different than this one right here. Make sure to loctite your bolts and nuts as well as put some RTV sealer on the mating surface of the plate that mounts to top of transmission shifter housing and your golden. I was able to adjust and set my shift point’s accordingly and to my liking with ease. Very very great product for the price. The quality of machining was very nice and this shifter is of great value. Definitely recommend buying for your T5 shirt throw shifter upgrade.

To be fair I bought this just to hack it up. I needed a shifter that would fit my S10 T-5 Tail housing.I was aware that the bolt pattern was different and that I would have to cut the front of the base plate off.So about 1 hours work and I have a working shifter for my 1952 Plymouth rat rod. All for less than $40. The shifter shaft is a reclaimed Off Road shock absorber shaft.

This was a big win for my 1998 Mustang GT! Much shorter and more precise shifting than the factory unit. I wish there were instructions included, but a search on YouTube yielded good results.
