Q: Is this compatible with foxsat hdr500

I use it with my Humax foxsat-hdr with no problems. I'm not sure if it is 500 tho.

Q: I have a Humax Foxsat HDR with a RM-F01 remote. This remote does not work for me. Is there an initial setup I am missing? Thanks P

When I first got this remote it also didn't work, but I discovered that the reason it didn't work was because I had changed the code on the old freesat remote from 1 to 2. When I changed the code back to 1 which is the default code, then this remote worked. In order to do this you need to use the old remote. Press OK + 0 until the PVR button turns red. You should then see a message on your TV screen which should tell you what the code number is, then you can change it back to 1.

Put the batteries in! It only works on mode 0. If you changed the mode with the old remote you will have to find a way of changing it back.

Q: does it have a record button

Hi there, yes there is a rec button at the bottom right, second button up and it is marked 'rec'. Since my Humax handset decided to give up on me I found this replacement excellent. The only slight down side is that not all buttons are in the same place as the Humax nor called the same, but managed no problem. Overall I'm very delighted - cheers Graham
