Wicca Kitchen Witchery: A Beginner's Guide to Magical Cooking, with Simple Spells and Recipes (Wicca for Beginners Series)

I know this was labeled as for beginners, which I am, but I thought it would be a collection of recipes. Instead this was mostly a guide based on wiccan philosophy. The author talks about vegetarian and organic, fresh and local. All of that is good I guess but still not what I thought I was paying for. A part of why I didn't enjoy this as much was because it only had a few recipes. And some of those were for kitchen cleaners instead of food. I don't feel like this is necessary if you already have a respect for nature and let that factor into how you source/prepare your food.

It's worth mentioning in the subtitle that this is a vegetarian cookbook. Also that recipes aren't rooted in historical tradition.

This is a great book to open your eyes to kitchen witchery. Mrs. Chamberlain is an excellent author and is easy to understand. I recommend all of her books to my witchy friends.

Excellent book for the Wiccan Kitchen and well written. Good for the beginner and even for the advanced Witch. Some things were new to me and some I had known before. Very good book for any Witches Kitchen.

I enjoyed this quick read. It helped me realize all the potential in the kitchen to conduct magick. I am definitely going to to continue my Wiccan journey in the kitchen with more in depth books! I am happy I read this beginner book and recommend to all those who are interested. Can't beat the kindle price!

As always this book has a little bit of everything but it is basically a cookbook that teaches you how to enchant your food as you make it. The ingredients are simple a second plus for me. The enchantments are geared towards beginningers living in the 21st century. I would recommend this recipe book for beginners and Vaterns alike.

If your interested in food and spiritual connection this is a nice little book. Any oneWho has said a prayer over their food and loves cultural attributes will enjoy this book.

The front cover and back cover decriptions are not true representation of the actual contents. 109 of the actual contents which is ok, fast read. 'Household cleaning products' = only 2 (all purpose and oven cleaner). A negative wow factor for sure. 'Spells' = about seven two liners and not easy to find as the contents page is a bit random in places. But 7 is ok. 'Recipes' = magic marinara sauce as a whole separate chapter. And then only four more in another chapter (1x soup, 1x stirfry, 1x smoothie, 1x salad dressing). Very disappointing quantity as the book is marketed as if there were more. By no means I expected it to be a proper cookery book, but only 5 in total is a heavily upsold aspect. Not even two recipes per type. Or maybe a salad recipe to accompany that lone dressing. The book gives more of a brochure or sample feel than a full book because of those points. The rest of the book is kitchen set up, things to consider etc, list of herbs meanings, basically theretical concepts for which i give some stars. It's just a stocking filler for my niece so will do. I would recommend as a read for yourself or a side gift, but not as a main gift also due to small and thin size. Nice recycled style paper and good quality print.

Loved this book, quick easy read and fantastic guide for a beginner. Have also ordered other books by the same author and cannot wait to read. Liked the ingredient guide for making your own kitchen cleaner.
