Took 3 weeks of trying to finally get the camera to be recognised by any computer but has worked amazing since then!

Very easy to set up and use.

I've been impressed with Creative's output recently. Every product I've tried has surprised me with it's quality and value. Can they do it again with the Live Cam.In the box you get the camera and some documentation. The camera is a little bigger than your average webcam but not significantly so. The plastics feel good quality with a satin like finish. There is a simple rubber lens for privacy and focus is manually adjustable. On the top there are controls for the back light compensation and a mute switch for the mic. At the rear there is a USB cable of reasonable length and on the base is the mount which can be used to friction mount or to a tripod.The camera is plug in and play with PC's. Once connected via the camera APP I could assess the quality. At 4k 30fps it is surprisingly smooth with no frame lag. The detail doesn't quite match what I would expect at 4k. With some of the detail looking smearing when pixel peeping. I suspect this may be some form of noise reduction being applied in camera as it appears to be reasonably sensitive in low light conditions. When scaling down to 1440p is less noticeable, and at 1080p not at all. Colour rendition is reasonably accurate and looks pretty natural. Back light compensation works quite well but needs to set manually. The FOV is good covering almost all of my office. Despite this there is no distortion in the image.The microphone isn't bad though I did find it a little quiet. As I tend to use an external mic it is less of a concern to me.Currently the Creative 4k Live is under £55 with a voucher. Yes the noise reduction might be a little heavy and the microphone a little quiet, but for a 4k capable camera that is great value in my opinion.

The difference between this and my Windows 10 PC’s built-in webcam is like night and day! The clarity and brightness with using this very good indeed. Plug and play simplicity - I plugged it in and Windows automatically recognised it and I can toggle between the built-in webcam and this. When in Large Gallery mode in Microsoft Teams, my image quality is noticeably better than that of other participants.It sits over my PC’s existing webcam with a simple hinge bracket and it has a very long lead with a USB connection head. It’s 360 degrees rotatable, can be tilted and there are two buttons on the top - one to turn the mic On or Off and another Backlight Compensation button that allows manual brightness adjustment in very dark or very bright locations. The focus ring adjusts the focus and there’s also a privacy cap. With twin mics, it picks up my voice loud and clear and a long, thin LCD light lets me know when it's filming. Everything works extremely well.You can download the Creative StartComms Kit if you want to delve deep into the settings (there is also a driver update available). I don’t need it myself, but it should be useful for those wanting to record talking head type videos.

This webcam comes safely boxed with instructions. It's plug and play so I had no trouble setting it up, though it's quite wide so has to be securely attached to my laptop screen - my monitor screen is thicker so it attaches better there. The cable is more than long enough and there's a privacy screen that's easy to flip up over the lens. Mute and backlight buttons are on top where they are easy to reach. Picture and sound is great, when conferencing I am limited to regular 1080p HD but it's useful to have the extra resolution. Overall I am very happy with this webcam, it's significantly better than the one I was using before.
